1st time I saw him was on a Sunday afternoon on BBC2 in his first fight with Barerra. I was all geared up to watch MAB splatter this unknown kid before I went to the pub. :patsch

A prime Pernell Whitaker would box the **** out of Manny Pac, about 9-3 in rds (& Pac`s rds would be debatable & won on aggression alone if at all)

Whitaker is too good in the art of boxing for the flawed but great Pacman.

If you think Pac looked frustrated when a ready for the taking busted up Cotto gave a bit ot backfoot boxing (survival backfoot boxing actually with zero offence) then Manny would literally be pulling his hair out strand by strand vs Whitaker.

Watch what Mayweather does to Pacquiao if that fight ever happens for a similar kinda result.

Pac hasnt fought above 147 yet so that is the only weight you can be referring to & the 147 lb Whitaker that beat Mcgirt twice, Chavez & Cardona was a brilliant fighter, very much in his prime, enough in his prime to be undisputed p4p no1... the Whitaker from any of those 4 fights schools the WW Pacquiao of DLH, Cotto or Clottey IMO.

Pacquiao WOULD NOT beat Whitaker pre Vasquez at WW, no chance.

Check out Pea vs Chavez, Cardona & Mcgirt twice (especially the 2nd fight) at 147... he was a phenomenal fighter in those fights, if you had seen those fights you wouldnt have made that post I dont believe.

Yeah, Pea was top-notch at Welter, and took on a better fighter at 154 (actually at 154) than Floyd and Pac took on (or are due to tale on) in their attempts to win straps at JMW.

True but Pac trains into a weight category. Pernell just got a bit lazy in training and in the fight. So I would still expect at around 150 Pac to win.

The Whit at 135 and 147 were different animals in my opinion.

Its a very hard match up. I wouldn't be suprised if Pac was found wanting as soon as he fights a big slickster but I would be suprised if he ruined them.

Mayweather is the most talented fighter since Whitaker, this would be a very close fight that Whitaker would edge IMO.... you badly underrate Floyd or overrate Pea if you think Pea makes a mockery of Floyd.

Most talented fighter since Pea??!?! Based on ****ING WHAT HIS RESUME IS ****! :deal Seriously, he is the most overrated fighter of the past 50 years. I've said it once and I'll say it again, Floyd is nowhere near as stylistically complete or impressive as Kalambay; I don't understand what he does that is so special, and against such mediocre competition?

Anyways, despite talent, Sweet Pea is stylistic kryptonite to Floyd. It all starts with the jab; and Peas shits all over Floyds.
