Klitschko is scared to take on his top contenders. While Tyson cleaned out the entire heavyweight division and unified all 3 title belts in less than 9 months, Klitschko is fighting like a giant Ukrainian ***** against C+ level fighters like Rahman and Thompson. Klitschko has the ability and punching power to knock out both those opponents in less than 3 rounds and yet he continues to treat average heavyweights like they're the reincarnation of George Foreman. Ever since Brewster, Sanders, and Puritty exposed Klitschko's glass jaw, he's been scared to throw combinations and has shown the killer instinct of a sloth. In other words, the biggest heavyweight in the division is also the biggest *****. I was one of the unlucky few who purchased a ticket to see Wlad unify the IBF and the WBO heavyweight title belts against Ibragimov in Madison Square Garden, the proclaimed "Mecca of Boxing". On a night that was supposed to be Wlad's crowning as the recognized best heavyweight in the world, he fought like he needed a tampon. No offense to Ibragimov, but he had no business lasting 12 rounds against someone as skilled and powerful as Klitschko. But it appeared as if Wlad was on his period because the restless New York audience was treated to 12 rounds of utter **** -- Klitschko was promptly booed from Rounds 1 to 12. Boxing fans worship those who take risks: the Durans, the Haglers, the Holyfields. Until Klitschko shows that he has a pair of balls and not a giant Klit, he will never win the hearts of boxing fans around the world. And if indeed he is taking on Haye for his next title defense, I hope Haye becomes the 4th man to expose Klitschko's jaw of glass.
From 1987-1988, Tyson made 6 title defenses within the span of a year. The day Klitschko does that is the day he grows a set of balls.
Which time? He beat Byrd in 2000 for the WBO title. The beat Byrd again in 2006 for the IBF belt, then beat Ibragimov for the WBO belt again.
The thread starter is really lacking facts. Prime Tyson only defended his title 4 times in 1987.... 3 times in 88.... 2 times in 89... once in 90 in which he lost. I would love to know how that averages out to 4-5 defenses yearly. Also... Wlad just defended his title 3 times in '08. So again.. I am not sure how that ends up being "2" if we are lucky. Mike Tyson's entire career spanned over 20 years, and he only ended up with 3 more total fights than Wlad has right now, in only 12 years as a pro. Looks like you might need to get your head removed from your ass.
Why is everyone so hard on Wlad? He is a most excellent HW, he is streets ahead of the competition, he boxes well and hits powerfully and he has a suspect chin, which makes him exciting to watch. Why the hate?
