Santillán is trained by Freddy Trinidad. (no relation AFAIK with their island's most famous product of the 90's, Tito, although he claims to have been Tito's coach for a time - I suppose it could possibly have been during a period of estrangement between Félix Sr. & Jr.)

Scratch that, did a little more research; he's Tito's uncle.

The strategist in me appreciates how many feints both of these guys are using, but all the apprehension over whether or not a bomb is going to be thrown one moment to another is stressing me the **** out.

Vera is game and has quite a laudable gas tank.

Should be a clean sweep for Santillán, but this experience should have been an edifying one for him.

Caught the last three rounds of Santillan-Vera. The Dominican showed talent, and his progress might be worth charting since Vera seemed a little better than his record suggests.

Rivera is clearly the A side in this match, but Sanchez is giving a solid effort in the first couple of rounds.

Rivera got into a nice groove after getting outworked in the second and was able to box and counter his way to a deserved UD over six. Two judges called it 60-54, which I think is a bit harsh. Tony did well enough to earn at least one of the first two rounds, imo.

In a bit of a surprise, Nicklaus Flaz chipped away at Luis "La Roca" Hernandez, tattooing him with combinations that...eroded his will to fight...and convinced Hernandez to quit after two rounds. First stoppage loss his career.
