Ángel "Bebite" Aponte is listed on BoxRec as orthodox but has fought this entire opening round lefty - so he's either ambidextrous or is just a southpaw and listed erroneously.

Rodríguez is trained by 2-time world title challenger César Seda - but isn't even remotely as good or tough as that Puerto Rican southpaw was, getting dropped heavily by a right hook from this current Puerto Rican southpaw in the ring with him early in the second round. Doing his best not to get overwhelmed, Aponte simply picking him apart with long range jabs and then leaping in with swarming bursts, forcing Rodríguez to hold.

30-26 Aponte, but Rodríguez grinding his way in close and getting a piece with the uppercut, although still an edge in activity for Aponte with his flurries, scoring obliquely upside the head with right hooks.

 

Rodríguez actually having a decent fourth, able to duck and slip/weave to his left while shoving a quick sneaky left jab between Aponte's wrists, fed into his mouth from just below, and some diving head-down right hands on the belt line from outside. Actually really good round, Aponte might have blown his wad in the first two and has let Rodríguez hang around long enough to settle into a nice countering rhythm here.

Arrieta is much quicker & flashier, but Díaz is determined and has good timing with solid counters. I've given Arrieta rounds 3 & 5, and Díaz the fourth - didn't catch enough of the first two rounds to score them - and Lil Butt (who turns seven next month and was fascinated to discover these guys each weigh 2.5 of him ) is predicting a draw. He likes Arrieta's shiny pink, silver & white trunks, gloves & tape motif (@Drew101 @Serge this is some damn fine CCA) but "I really like Díaz's attitude. He doesn't seem like he wants to lose again even though he already lost nine times and he just doesn't really care that pink guy is the favorite" <3
