Really nice fight. From the highlights they're showing now, it appears Arrieta won the first flurrying and sidestepping with quick feet, but Díaz was able to start grounding him with body shots in the second.

    So 1, 3, 5 & 6 for Arrieta with 2,4 & 7 for Díaz . Eighth even.

77-76 Arrieta then, on my card, using the HL as a guide..

77-75 or a draw are fine.

García Hernández has fought better opposition (Kermit Cintrón, Sergei Bohachuk, Glen Tapia, Yordenis Ugas, Tyrone Brunson, Tommy Browne and Charles Hatley) - but all those guys knocked him out. :sisi1 The only big-name opponent he went the distance with was Jermall Charlo in an early-days 4-rounder. (García Hernández was down twice and lost a 40-33 shutout on all three judges' cards)

Whoa! Signs of life from García Hernández , who did show a bit of fire in the first (but all of his offense was sloppy and easily dodged by Cora, who then promptly took over with pot shots while dancing around him) - backed Cora up into the ropes and scored what might have been a botched no-call on a knockdown (it was a trip & face-flop by Cora, but he was getting licked) with a series of line drive up-jabs and body swipes. García Hernández ratcheting up the aggression here, putting Cora on notice!

    10-9 García Hernández

    29-28 Cora

Cora out here playing checkers, throwing quick southpaw 1-2s off the ropes and then strafing around the ring, showboating and dropping his arms to admire his every partially scoring left cross and mug at the audience like he's the slickest thing since condom lubricant...but García Hernández is marching him down, looking several moves ahead like a chess master, content to follow a bit in order to scrape the body and trap Cora in the pocket with big waist-twisted-for-extra-torque uppercuts.

García Hernández throwing serious fastballs with bad intentions every time Cora gets cute & slips up with his twinkle-toe schtick, curtsying halfway inside with a deep right knee bend to drop in a left hand from outside but making the mistake of leaving his defenses only half-formed before pulling out, García Hernández ripping him with uppercuts and sling blade rights. A couple of big splashy (almost open-gloved) right hooks in the final minute from Cora, landing just behind García Hernández's ear.

Cora needs a gift decision to retain his zero IMO. He climbs the ropes and puts a glove to his ear, Hulkster style, and the crowd boos him down. :risas3:

    Round 1

Torres is walking Laguna down, mostly keeping the left jab holstered, a couple of feints with it, but saving his energy for huge lead rights bowled into the midsection, rolling his rear shoulder in with them. Laguna is prancing aside with his gut sucked in to skate the corner turnbuckles, and then settling into a more idiosyncratic defensive rhythm with short diagonal steps to spiral away from Torres butt stay off the ropes. Not many punches from Laguna, focused on not letting Torres rip him in half with those rights on the body, although he does thread a nice left cross between the gloves off a throwaway jab. Torres is also stuffing the left jab into Laguna's face on the forward trot.

    10-9 Torres

    Round 2

Torres is taking big swings up top and into the ribs with the left hook. Laguna is reaching over the gloves with his button-pressing right jab while attempting to fold himself, stomach pulled inward to minimize the bullseye for Torres - but the pressure fighter is displaying a nice stiff anti-aircraft jab delivered from a crouch, snapping Laguna's head back. Laguna throwing wild right hooks and missing, spinning himself off alignment, having better success when he plunks the left between Torres' gloves, able to back him up a bit. Torres managing to catch Laguna wherever in the ring he runs to, cutting it off with deceptively medium-paced but long and confident strides. Laguna bucking and shimmying along the ropes, unable to get free without burrowing in & grabbing or sitting on the ropes & sinking low.

    10-9 Torres, close

    20-18 Torres

    Round 3

Torres stalks with a few left body jabs flung in from a distance while roaming to either side to get a clear look at Laguna's movement patterns. Torres abruptly goes into beast mode, powering his way inside with heavy body shots while advancing in a squat, keeping his center of gravity low and putting full leverage on shots that have Laguna doubling over in pain even as he tightly wraps a guard around his face. Torres ignores the head, just chipping away on Laguna's torso with incredibly powerful uppercuts while muscling him against the ropes, positioning him in a grip between his thumbs and the curls of his knuckle padding. Laguna's arms start to drop and Torres explodes on him. Body and head shots! Laguna wilting! Ref in!

    KO3!!!!
