Wrong, AJ's stock has dropped very badly. Just a few days ago there was a strong consensus that AJ was better, now people are almost 50-50 between Wilder and AJ.

It will be interesting to see who can bounce back from their defeats best, if either can. Wilder's reckoning is less than two weeks away, AJ's going to be on death row for 6 months before experiencing back-to-back defeats and his 3rd loss in 5 fights.

I think Joshua would ktfo Wilder. His harder fight would be with Fury. I don't know about Fury at this point. What is the prevalent opinion? Did he have covid a few months back or was it a ploy to withdraw from a fight? sorry, I just haven't heard. If Fury genuinely had covid then I don't think he should be fighting any time soon. To the earlier point, Joshua has enough power to spark Wilder out easy. Especially if Wilder wears the same or similar costume into the ring that he wore the night that Fury whipped his ass.

Wilder is not better then AJ he’s just crazy and is not afraid to attack. AJ is for all intents and purposes a media fighter. He looks the part, talks the part but he’s lacking in areas that completes the picture.

It's a good rule of thumb rather than an absolute rule. How many KO artists has AJ been in with? 41 year old, 17 months inactive, defeated in his last fight Wlad in Britain. Wlad got off the canvass to KD AJ so hard that it took away AJ's legs, reflexes, remaining gas and left him badly hurt. There are various theories as to why Wlad didn't finish AJ off but it was a Conn-Louis level example of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory if there ever was one.

Fury on the other hand has fought KO artists 3 times without being KO'd and is about to step in with Wilder again, so Fury's passed the test by any reasonable standard. Cunningham's OH also didn't seriously hurt Fury and he recovered rapidly, while AJ gets hit and stays hit even by lighter punchers. One factor in punch resistance is confidence and relaxation in taking a shot and AJ seems to panic a bit every time he gets tagged hard, even aside from the physiological responses we see and I don't think this side of things is getting any better for him.

I can't think of a worse fanbase in boxing, I guess I shouldn't be surprised that a guy like Wilder attracts the "special" crowd. My nightmare scenario is if Usyk gets KO'd by Wilder which could well happen, you'd never hear the end of it.

AJ clearly is more dangerous against other world level HWs.

AJ has beaten Wlad, Povetkin, Whyte, Parker, Ruiz and Pulev.

Wilder - Ortiz...that's if you can even call him world level as he has a weaker resume than AJ mentioned opposition.

    This very clearly.

Might as well be comparing Chalres Martin to Usyk.

Either could beat each other, but what separates them is proven resume.

Wilder's resume is a joke compared to AJ. If they don't fight, you have to pick AJ because of proven resume.

But Wilder has no answer to up close and personal attacks. Look what Ortiz almost did to him, he just didn't have the power to finish.

Wilder could definitely KO AJ, but if AJ gets inside, it's all over.

Also AJ has taken a huge shot from Wlad and survived. He's never been really KO'd before, he's been hurt but always got back up on his feet or stayed up.

He's like Pov, it doesn't take a lot to wobble him, but takes a lot to properly KO him.

Wilder's best wins are literally a 39 and 40 year old versions of Ortiz... who knows if they weren't 45 and 46 year old versions.

Ortiz who is one of the most overrated boxers in recent memory. His best win is Jennings which is a solid win but nothing else outside of that and the Ortiz Jennings fight was very competetive before the stoppage.

a 39 year old Povetkin would knock Ortiz out everyday of the week and twice on Sunday

AJ's best wins are just as old as Ortiz x2 but with less activity and more recent defeats. Povetkin had a young man's style and deteriorated faster than Ortiz. He was better in his prime but not when AJ fought him

This is a desperate narrative now.

41 year old inactive defeated Wlad had AJ badly hurt, gassed out, legs gone, reflexes gone but didn't jump on him because he lacked killer instinct and Vitali told him not to: Wilder would windmill the sh*t out of out on his feet AJ until he stayed on the floor.

Ortiz is a bigger puncher than AJ and a southpaw to boot. AJ would gas out going for the finish as well, just like he did against 39.5 year old inactive Pulev. AJ's also not an inside fighter; even Usyk competed well in the clinch and was pushing AJ back in the last few rounds.

But more likely AJ would be gunshy (as he was against relative featherfist Usyk) and Wilder would land a bomb, taking AJ out early.
