Ice in a glass of whiskey? For shame! Never! I drink it straight and don`t wash it down with anytbing either, save for maybe a pabst blue ribbon beer, which now that I think of it I think I`ll go grab one right now.

 

Agreed. The only way to drink whiskey (especially the single malts) is straight up.

Haven't seen Watanabe-Roman, so I can't comment...but i do think that Roman was the type of tricky boxer who would always have given Watanabe some issues, even at his absolute best.

I still have Zarate winning over Pintor, although Lupe's late round surge made it pretty close on my card.

 

Watanabe was past his best for this fight, being pretty old(about 30-32 i think)for the weightclass.

However it seemed to me he didn't give a damn either way.Never the most dedicated of fighters, it looked like he realised Roman was up for it and very good, thus opted to meekly surrender his title Corro Antuofermo style.

He had a "why teh hell am i even here" look on his face after about two rounds through to the end of the bout.Roman never managed to hurt him, but soundly outworked him for an 11-4 type of win.

Even though he was past it and going to lose whatever, i'd say this fight is still a black mark on due to his half-assed performance.He had shown a lack of dedication in a few other fights previously so it wasn't entirely without precendent, but sitll disappointing.
