Does someone (perhaps OLD FOGEY) know this fighter? He has an outstanding record of 107-20-17 (40 KO´s), who only one times knocked down when he was TKO´d in the 11th round against Moody. He beat very good and great fighters like Loughran, McTigue, Walker, Clark, McCarron, Nashert, Panama Joe Gans, Scozza, Moody, Malone, Tiger Flowers, etc., I also read a fight report in the "New York Times" that he won his fight against Greb (6-5-1), he was reportedly robbed against Britton for the World Welterweight Title (Jack ducked him for a rematch), my question is, if someone knows this almost forgotten fighter perhaps, and when, where do you rate him at 160 lbs and p4p?

    Here´s his link to boxrec:

Study his record, it´s really great, I don´t know why he isn´t in the IBHOF...

He is in the World Boxing Hall of Fame--they do have have some basic info on him. He won New York recognition as world middleweight champion with an 11th round knockout of Charley Neshart on January 9, 1923. He was one of several claimants to the title in 1923 along with Bryan Downey and Jock Malone, both of whom he defeated. I know that recognition eventually passed to Greb. Bogash might have outgrown the division off the listed weights on boxrec.
I know he was later a well known referee in the New England area.
How good was he?--It is hard to say without film. He was good enough to beat Walker and Loughran and most of the other contenders. Certainly a man who would have been a worthy contender in any era.

By the way, I'm pretty old and have seen guys like Loi and Tiger Jones and the like, but Bogash is a bit far back. If I ever run into any info about him, I'll post it here.
