A question about Margarito's handwraps (and discussing the whole case again)

As soon as Margo landed a flush shot the look on Cotto's face said it all, it hurt a lot and he looked pretty confused about it.

 

That's because he was breaking Cotto's face with rocks pretty much ..No human hands wrapped legally could cause that type of damage !

 

You guys bring up good points on the Cotto matchup, but me perosnally, I cant place blame on Margorito without any concrete (no pun intended lol) so IMO that win should stand. Anybody that thinks logically knows that he wouldnt just all of sudden start loading for a guy that he's the favorite against...I do think Margorito loaded up before his encounter with Mosley but we can only go by what is in front of us.

 

:nono the fact of the matter is that margarito whooped cotto legitimately. The reason that cotto slowed down towards the end was that he couldn't breathe from the blood, due to shots that margarito put on him in the beginning rounds...rounds that if he did have a substance that hardens in the second half of the fight, wouldn't have helped him in the beginning of the fight. The fact that cotto couldn't breathe, and the fact that margarito has a granite chin and a work rate that is hard to match these days by any fighter in boxing, and his big heart is what won him the match against cotto. Cotto landed monstrous shots on margarito and it did nothing to margo, Cotto got tired and the rest is history...but on that night, margarito beat him fair and square. Margarito has been wanting a rematch with cotto ever since the suspension to prove he fought legitimately but it seems to me cotto never wanted to share a ring with him again...so pacman stepped up to the plate. Even pacquiao deformed cotto's face worse than margarito!! :deal

what about when DLH beat chavez and chavez was left a bloody mess? did DLH have illegal wraps for that? no...no he didn't. people bleed in boxing, it happens. Lets not be sissies and make excuses for cotto. Margarito kicked his ass period

Broken Orbital Bone is much diffrent than cuts to the face ..Look at the damage done by Manny side by side with damage done by Marga Cheato and you can see the diffrence ..The face usually swells up after getting punched over and over again against the Cheat he broke bone ..Last I checked Chavez was bleeding from his face not from his EARS !No one is being a sissy but lets not over look the obvious ! Cuts in boxing is common I don't know of too many fighters that bleed from the ears after getting punched in the face !

The bottom line is that poor management on behalf of Cotto's uncle is the only reason these threads exist. Horrible job of watching out for your fighter. Your nephew at that.
