Which way is best to slip your head when a jab is shooting straight for your face and which way is best to slip when a right hand is about to smash your nose? Do you slip the shots, the jab and right hand, to your left or right. And why is it the best way?

While just getting your face out of the way of the shot is correct, it is not the answer that I'm looking for and is not the best answer.

It depends on the moment. It depends on your style. Then it depends if you're a southpaw as I am or orthodox. For the second, I'm doing it (as I am used to switch stances) moving the head to the right and make a step forward with my right foot, so I switch the stance when in orthodox. When southpaw, mainly just move the head to the right or duck.

It depends what you are trying to do. Slipping punches isn't a tactic to simply avoid a punch. It is how attack an opponent by making him miss a punch.

I don't slip the lead hand towards the power hand.
