The book was largely (if not completely) ghostwritten; supposedly Ali himself didn’t even read it until it came out (from Thomas Hauser’s biography). It includes the Ali-threw-his-gold-medal-off-a-bridge myth, so no way of telling what was and wasn’t true; if the movie was based on it, same applies

You are correct except Ali even said he did throw his medal in the rivder on the vid champions forever because he was not allowed to sit in a white only restaurant soon after he came back from his gold medal victory in Rome.

Smokey and the bandit was released that year also, that was a huge box-office hit too.

He was suffering from parkinson`s when he starred in this movie, you can see his movements and speech are impaired.

He didn't **** her, in fact he was getting mad at her for revealing too much skin by wearing that dress at a dinner party. He was a muslim, y'know, women get killed for that stuff in muslim countries. He just ripped the dress off of her and told her to put on some real clothes. (She didn't listen, she just ran away.)

There was a televised special for Ali’s 60th or 70th birthday and different presenters gave speeches about him; I want to say one was his daughter, but could be mistaken, it was a black woman ... in the course of her speech, she mentioned that the medal being tossed off the bridge was a myth. This was in front of Ali - if she was lying, he gave no reaction. If I can find a link or other proof, I’ll post it

Edit: I found an interview Ali did with Thomas Hauser as research for the biography. When asked, Ali said he threw the medal in the river. When Hauser pressed him - “Do you swear to Allah that’s what happened?” - Ali admitted that either someone stole it or he lost it.
