It was a terrible stoppage, Manfredo wasn't hurt in the slightest and Calzaghe was throwing a barrage of weak slaps, most of which were blocked, when the ref waved it off. It was so bad I actually felt embarrassed, and I didn't know why, I just felt filthy.

I find all this bollocks a little amusing as a casual observer.

Khan V Barrera....."**** Barrera was fine to fight on...."

Khan V McCloskey....."ha ha McCloskey quit"

Double standards and no mistake, especially when you consider that Barrera had Khan buzzed once or twice, even in his injured and geriatric state. Everything points to a hype job being protected here, I'm just glad I never paid to see this fiasco, I watched it on a stream and it stank....at least it stank for free though.

Khan, utter ****ing joke of a fighter.

yeah I just saw the post fight interviews and Mccloskey's attitude stunk, I can completely understand why Khan was getting angry - which is the first time ive ever seen him get a bit frustrated in an interview

It's definitely a hype job being protected in this case, they saw the chance to get Khan out of there with a victory and they took it, they are trying to avoid another Breidis Prescott incident at all costs. I'm not even saying McCloskey would've been the guy to do it, but at least give him a fair shot.
The real losers last night however were the poor souls that paid to watch the fight, I'm sorry for those guys.

the docor said "im stopping it, its too deep" then mccloskey shook his head like " no ****in way" quit....? mclcoskey quit?! HA this is the guy who sports psychologists couldnt help because he was so convinced he was going to win late on in the fight.

    quit...HA!

Irländsk, what fight were you watching ?

Khan won every round and Paul had managed nothing at the end of six.

There's always the chance of a big punch landing, but Maidana landed probably a bigger one than anything in Paul's arsenal and it didn't help.

There was no 'protecting' needed here.

I was pulling for Paul. I'm from Derry and he's a relative. And he didn't quit.

A bad stoppage and not much in the way of entertainment, and Khan was not at his best.

    But protected ?

    Catch yourself on, man !
