That's football, not boxing. You can't go by wins and losses in boxing, which is obviously what he meant.

Clearly however, Wlad is far higher P4P than Duran. It's just obvious really. There's no point even going in to it.

Hopefully people can look at this real simply. Duran, the fact that he moved up in weight fighting Multiple ATG's and in moving up in weight fighting guy that were bigger than he was. Wlad, rarely fights anyone bigger than his is and has never fought an ATG. Hopefully simply put you can understand these facts.

Duran was part of the Fabulous Four - himself, Hagler, Hearns and Leonard.

Wlad's fab four where - himself, Brewster, Mormeck and Peter.

    It's clearly...

    Wlad >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Duran.

Anyone who disagrees is just a Durantard. :deal

And what do they both have in common? They're competitive sports. Proves my point.

Maybe, but a Duran punch will shake Wlad,
Maybe not knock him down but enough power that maybe two
more solid shots would do the job.
We are comparing two different animals here.

No. You have no point. One is a team sport where the winner wins based on accumulated points in the leagues. The other is an ATG ranking based on resume and demonstrable skill. If I have a record of 100-0 against people with records of 1-78 and 5-60 I do not have a better record than someone who is 88-12 against people who have records comparable to me and who are elite level in terms of skill with undefeated records against top opposition - a few of whom that person has beaten. In football I would have 300 points and thus win the league. In boxing I would come no where near to the 88-12 guy's accomplishments despite my 'better' record and more 'points'.

Of course I rank VK higher P4P... pure math.

With his tiny 5' 7" Duran should still have to weigh no less as 212lbs to have as much weight per inch as Wlad... :bart

edit: oh no wait... in that case Duran of course has more height per lb, so he's higher lb for lb! :patsch Stupid, stupid Robney

Look, I don’t see the point of you complicating what was a perfectly simple analogy. Both fighters have records which consist of fighting fighters. You with me? If fighter A has more wins than B, whilst at the same time having fewer defeats than him, I honestly can’t see an argument for fighter A not being better. As a fighter fighting against fighters, he’s proven to be the most efficient and successful fighter.

But if you insist on complicating things, then just like a boxing record is affected by quality of opposition, then so would a football league where Team A, by bizarre luck, spent the majority of the season playing against teams which were missing key players; thus reducing their overall quality. And if Team B had to deal with teams in better form and consequently finished second to Team A, what you gonna’ say, that Team A aren’t the deserved champions? Silly, I know.

So, if you do the straightforward thing by working out the success rate of the two fighters:

    Duran:
    Fights – 119
    Wins – 103 (
    This content is protected
    success)

    Losses – 16

    Wladimir:
    Fights – 60
    Wins – 57 (
    This content is protected
    success)

    Losses – 3

Wladimir is clearly the greater of the two. He has a whopping 10% over Duran. Come on. Numbers don’t lie.

Well if you think about it, Duran has never faced guys like Mormeck, Chambers or Peter.

He never fought big and powerful guys like that.

Duran also has many losses, and Wladimir lost only to ATG's and then he or his brother avenged those, so Wlad is the better fighter p4p, and he ranks higher.

He faced better and bigger opposition and he would destroy duran if they ever fought.

Only self loathing white guys rate Wlad below Duran.

14 year old Wladimir would have KO'd duran in 1980.

But he wasn't allowed to compete because of the iron curtain.

I'm sure scholars like Joe Mackenzie and Bremen will agree with my comprehensive analysis.
