true but he will be a little hesitant due to that loss for about the first round and thats about all then he'sll take over
option no.1 - he can't barely teach someone but fight, that's for sure. So I expect him to start trading from the very beginning. Might be a lil bit slugish at first but finds into his rhythm, finishing the fight on accumulation around round 8.
I'd say 2 would be the closest option because it would show patience. Be a little more defensive and use the champion's perogative of making Rubio bring the fight to him. Learn to be patient and counter when appropriate. He doesn't always have to be the aggressor. Option 1, while great, doesn't show any learning. I think it is still possible once Kelly hits the ring, that if he feels he can do it, to just forget the 'technical' fight we have been led to believe could happen and just put on a whupping. Wouldn't be a bad time to 'revert' with the home town crowd egging him on. Option 3, would indicate he can't close the show and his winning rounds was just that, winning rounds. I would find it more impressive if he out boxed Rubio just to set up the close. So, that is 2?
:yep I think Pavlik will give the crowd a show for about 4 rounds, then Rubio's gone in either the fifth or sixth.
I think Pavlik will put pressure on Rubio early while Rubio tries to box but then Rubio stand his ground and is run over in 5 very fast rounds.:bbb
I personally think Kelly will come out guns blazing I don"t expect this to go past three this really is an unfair style advantage for kelly While PavliK has showed his flaws it will definitely not hurt him against a fighter in Rubio's level Pavlik in 2 or 3 easily
The usual stalker, seek and destroy style . . . otherwise . . . he'll be antagonized and accused of being not the same fighter after his loss to Bhops.
I think it depends on what they've worked on in camp and if they want to use it as an opportunity to try out new things. I like Pavlik to stop him mid to late.
Good point, but his camp is hinting at a "technical" fight. Boo has made the point before that one problem Kelly has is his 'lack of rounds' due to his early knockouts. If he comes out the same, he hasn't learned anything. If he tries something knew, he isn't the same fighter. Damned if........ Guess we'll have to wait and see what they have planned. I think Rubio offers a chance for him to try some things though.
On a certain level this fight is a no win situation: Damned if ya do ..... damned if ya don't. If Kelly comes out and just blows Rubio out of the ring, well . . . . . it's Rubio, and Kelly was beating guys on that level back in 0'5 and '06. If Kelly comes out and boxes for several rounds while basically carrying Rubio, within minutes of the end we'll have half a dozen shitheads on here posting clips of Jantuah/Rubio. It won't matter that Rubio/Jantua was 4 years and 18 fights ago, it'll happen.
Exactly. And to be honest, the only reason I'm letting Pav slide with this fight is because I know its a comeback for him. Only way I would actually be impressed, scratch that, shocked out of my cotton pickin mind, is if Pavlik outboxes and dances circles around Rubio.
That ain't gonna happen:nono I seems inevitable that somewhere before the mid rounds are over KP will catch Rubio with something big, and as soon as Pav smells blood in the water, it's OVAAAAH.
