I was always under the impression he was a rugged in fighter brawler with a great left hook to the body but watching his fight against Adolpho Sanchez there is no comparison. In 2 rounds he has ran and threw 27 punches. Is this just due to Sanchez's power or was he originally a boxer and if so when did he adapt a slugging style?

He wasnt a runner. He usually stood in front of his opponent. His biggest downfall was he was so robotic in his approach with the same predictable shots, but I didnt see him back track much in fights.

his fight with adolpho sanchez is the odd one out in his career. really strange he didnt seem to want to trade...notice that the only time he was knocked down was when he was running and pretending to be slick.

micky ward = high guard + temple 2 temple fighting style + implosive left hook to the body

If Vantage is right and its a of does anyone know why he boxed that way? Its on utube if you fancy a kip. But seriously JCC had pulled out of a fight with Ward and mabye he coulden't motivate himself to beat Sanchez. But still he was a undefeated prospect with 16 wins. Micky had had 8 straight wins and surely wasen't just boxing for money at that point in his career
