Are Boxing and MMA similiar in a sense that the smaller guys are much more active and exciting?? Cuz in Boxing, it's the smaller guys who really respresent the sweet science as they're much more skilled and dedicated to their craft. They always stay in shape too...

I started watching MMA and realized that this was the case in MMA also.. IT seem like the smaller fighters are alot more exciting and much more skilled... WOW like Torres/Tapia... now that was intense and i dont think ive seen too many MMA fights like that...

How do u feel about this?

Check out UFC 47 Liddell vs. Ortiz dvd, great fights from top to bottom if I remember correctly, good starter for someone new to mma.

Yeah defiantly, the smaller weight classes in MMA (as in boxing) are the most exciting when it comes to action/excitement.

    Guys like...

    Miguel Torres
    Jose Aldo
    Urijah Faber
    Mike Thomas Brown
    Norifumi Yamamoto
    Brian Bowles
    Damacio Page
    Nam Phan
    Nick Denis

Are a blast to watch fight.

The lower weight divsions in mma are amazing at the moment from 155 downwards the fighters seem to be the strongest with alot of high quality fighters. Guys like eddie alvarez have had some of the most exciting fights over the last year.

Not really. I think up to 205 (who are big guys) everyone is pretty impressive. At hw they become quite bad but you still have the gems like Couture, Fedor etc

I think the smaller fighters have always put on the best fights. IMO it is true in MMA and boxing. When I was wrestling the same was true there also. I hated having to watch our heavy weights. They were to slow, no action at all.
