If they are so bad and look good because they are fighting bums then why aren't the top guys in the division like Povetkin, Adamek and Haye desperate to fight them and become superstars?

The answer is, they know damn well they are inferior boxers unlike you idiots who claim they are ****.

SNV will probably stop both of them, just by accident soon.

That goes without saying. He's on a whole different level. It was pointless even mentioning him in my post.

i think eveyone agrees that the Klits are the most dominating heavyweights of their era.

And I don't know anyone that thinks otherwise.

I think the Klits don't get the credit they deserve because consistency is underrated in boxing and super - hyped media event are overrated.

When Ali and Frazier met for the "fight of the century" they were hardly the best two HW's of the century, Norton might well have beatne Ali that night, Foreman even then probably would have beaten Frazier. But the media and unique historic circumstances turned this into a fight that will forever make Joe Frazier an ATG. A prime Holmes might very well beat Ali of the 70's and Frazier, yet Holmes never had the one immortal fight, at least in the public perception. But was Norton - Holmes really a lesser fight than Ali - Frazier in terms of skills and ability?

The Klitschkos have the kind of consistency that is very rare in boxing and more difficult to achieve than one glorious win. Frazier, Tyson, Dempsey all are remembered as great fighters, I doubt they could have dominated the HW division for seven years like Holmes or soon Wlad.

    Excellent post.

Thread has gone as I expected. Only the reasonable folk respond to it whilst the people it was aimed at conveniently ignore it.

the klitschkos are good fighters, but the division is poor at the moment, thats not their fault, but my gripe is they dont fight to thier potential considering their size and power advatanges, and how plodding and inefctive most thier opponents are almost straight away.

for me they should put it on the line more, more risk for more reward and praise.

if they fought more exciting and pushed for knockout and threw more entertaining combinations i would probably be won over.

if they demolished nobodies within a few rounds by brutal KOs i would enjoy watching them.

instead of getting bored and frustrated that powerful massive beasts are too safety first and inconsiderate to entertain boxing fans by pushing themselves to win by big KOS each time when they clearly see that the guy infront of them poses no threat what so ever with thier overweight frames, slow plodding feet and short arms with lack of power and some of them clearly being past thier best and never good enough to box or beat either klitschko in the first place.

for thier countrymen and fans it must be great to watch them win each time no matter how they do it or who its agianst, but for me i expect more and so should other boxing fans.

i will applaud a man who dares to win and goes for it with skill heart and risk getting reward rather than a scared fighter limitating himself and winning very boringly.

manny steward must hate having wlad, becuase of all his size, power and skill he doesnt have the mentality of others,if he had wlads skills with vitalis brain swapped into wlads there would be a dangerous good heavyweight.

i also think the klitschko harsh negotiations and treatment to fighters regarding contracts puts people of liking them as much.

If the Klitschkos are so "weak" and only the best of a bad bunch, and the 90's
were so "great", why are the 90's fighters who are still around doing so poor?

To dominate a division for as long as they have and to beat almost every other fighter out there deserves respect. Maybe their style isn't the most exciting to watch, but its effective and doesn't allow the opponent a look in. Particularly in Wlad's case he's done extremely well, recognizing he has a weakness and moulding his style so that he's rarely in danger of being caught cleanly yet can still dominate everyone he faces.

i dont claim they are ****,but they are boring/certantly not as exciting as others,or as exciting as they could be.

i give them respect for being athletes, who train hard.

but there styles do not thrill me.

maybe in a greater era of heavies they would be pushed to be better, but maybe they might have been made to look ordinary?.who knows!.

They fight to their strenghts, just like most fighters. I don't see the problem. I wonder how many of the Klitschko haters are David Haye fans. :think
