Wlad fights using a cautious clinch style and his fights turn out to be very boring, but he dominates......

how come when he does it, he is unskilled.....

But when hopkins and ward do it.... they are defensive wizards? :nut:nut

Fact is, other than losing to lewis(atg) and getting an injury, vitali has dominated every opponent he has faced. But that has nothing to do with skill at all :nut:nut

Guys the cold war is over, just because they are not american, does not mean they are not good

Not me. My choice would have been Tua of those who where 'available'. At this moment there are about half dozen guys that I can see putting even some kind of resistance for Wlad. But everybody knows that Adamek is the only one that really wants to fight him. Some of them are honest and admits that they are not ready and some are making bs excuses.

Toney is already messed up, very bad. And his good chin against Wlad's straight rights is recipe for something that nobody wants to see in boxing ever again. I understand that Toney wants some money but I don't understand how any doctor could/can give him a pass to go against big punchers now days.

Wlad, Vitali or Haye are not like Pacquiao who gives mercy if the corner or ref is stupid enough to give rounds of unnecessary beating.

    Ok, now you're lying.

    --
On July 16, 2008, Toney's rematch against Hasim Rahman was stopped in the third round. An accidental headbutt by Toney opened a cut above Rahman's left eye. The ring doctor stopped the fight after determining that the cut was blocking Rahman's vision. Initially, the fight was called as a TKO win for Toney, but this was overruled by the California State Athletic Commission and the fight was declared no-contest.
    --

Sure he would.. He lost to Sam Peter twice and later bout was four years ago. If he couldn't outbox Peter then how could he handle something like Wlad today? And don't reply that 'styles make fights'. Just check Toney's last opponents and do the math.

I watched Briggs fight with my friends who spent most of their time either fighting or watching old Pride fights. They don't even blink when Overeem uses knees to heads but everyone of us were shouting that the fight should have been stopped after sixth.

I was also disgusted when Arreola got ruined by Vitali.

But the difference is that neither Briggs or Arreola weren't showing symptoms of brain damage when they entered in the ring. Toney is, and has been for years.

I watched Holyfield/Valuev few months ago. I wouldn't watch Klitscho/Holyfield. Valuev is a bit softer puncher than Wlad.

So do I understand right that you (as a Haye fan) see it as a good thing if Toney or Holyfield gets their last shot for the title against David?

    By reading Klitschko threads.

I hate the argument that Klitschkos should blow their opponents away in a few rounds because they are bigger. Wlad has built his current reign by abandoning the old approach he had, which lead to him getting ****ed up badly by three inferior fighters. He is also primarily a boxer. A boxer-puncher, yes, but mostly a boxer. He'd be a fool to massively alter his style now

As for Vitali, no one can claim he has the same power he once had. The guy is pushing 40 but still dominating. No one can criticize the way a fighter of his age gets the job done

    Good point :good

I don’t think he is that messed up. His speech has always been little hard to understand.
Wlad throws 1 right hand in every three rounds and wouldn’t connect them against JT anyway so don’t worry.

    Watch the fight.
90% of the people on here at the time, thought that Rahmans quit job was bogus. Toney made Rahman quit even Rahman knows it.

Even couple of sanction bodies, dropped him in their rankings regardless what senile commission decided after it.

Toney was injured during the training camp leading in that match.
    It took away his mobility

He is still same limited Arreolla. No one got ruined.

As a Toney fan I would like him to get shot for some of the champions. Haye would best suit for Toney style but challenger cannot be picky.
Last saturday I actually asked Haye, to defend his title against Toney.

As for Holyfield he has had enough shots lately.

    Miss conception.
I’m just not the fan of their style.

We could be watching Vlad Vs. Haye or Vitali Vs. Haye, but Haye broke two contracts, he got a lot of advice from the chicken in the Rocky movie though. Where is Haye?

Vlad won the gold medal back in 1996 in Atlanta, GA Superheavyweight division. Former Military World Champion, International Champion, etc. WBO, IBC, IBO, Ring Mag, Champion, etc.

Vitali was a six time world kickboxing champion both pro and amateur!!!!!!!

Vitali was world military champion, International champion, etc. Vitali former WBO Champion and two time WBC champion. Came back from a four year lay-off and beat Peter by 8th round stoppage. Ad infinitum. Vitali used to fight for free! At one time he would fight a kickboxing fight, then go and box! He loves to fight. Vitali and Vlad fight often. When will the cowards fight them?

It's ignorant to believe that in a world with 6 billion people and in a now global economy (unlike Ali's / Fraziers' time) that the division is weak.

The issue is it's now global not just US. it used to be US African fighters and UK fighters. Now it's Mexicans, Filipinos, Soviet states etc.

I am a HUUUUGE Wlad fan and he had major weaknesses and was - tbh - **** 5 years ago when he fought Sanders.

The important thing is he's improved and when you match fighters you match them prime for prime. It's easy to say "fighter X would get inside and kill Wlad!!" but Wlad now fights in a manner that doesn't allow his opponent to get the better inside and that's what the haters don't see.

You know that someone is a secret hater when they say "The Klits are good, but boring".

Look for them in David Haye threads, saying how amazing his achievements are.

Of course, if someone says "Wlad is boring, but I like the way Vitali fights" then there is a chance that poster is actually thinking for themselves.

No we can't. And you are wrong. There were 0 pro-fighters in the soviet block in Ali's / Frazier's time. How many are now?
