The first time it was good.... the second time it was terrible. Regardless of how he beat a divisional gatekeeper, he doesnt have the power to stop or deter hattons onslaught. Also, wasnt there something wrong with the first fight, I seem to remember N'dou and many fight fans moaning about the ref, is that right?

Oh, and Mitchell was rated highly when he beat N'dou, but we all know, in hindsight, he'd slipped more than a slippery snake wearing a slipper on a slip fast floor.

Yep, I saw the fight and the complaint, justified IMHO, was that the ref was breaking the fighters far too early (sound familiar?;)) and not letting N'Dou work inside.

I've edited out the 'N'Dou' bit (just to be transparent)

That statement is completely crackérs. He was used as a punchbag by Cotto for 12 rounds. Utterly utterly battered. If Hatton brings his best he is way out of Paulie's league.

I've seen a fair few Paulie fights. He is poor at the top level. Durable but poor. Doesn't even have the punch to compensate.

This fight is all about which Hatton turns up. A good one wins without question. Far better fighter.

TBH I think an "OK" version is enough.

'I might benefit from slowing it down and using my skills more, but Wicky 'Atton just looves a tear-up as everyone knows..I joost can't help meself, and that's why everyone looved me and the way I fight, same as Chavez and Gatti...I don't think the fans go away from a Wicky 'Atton fight saying they didn't get value for money, and that's the main thing for me is all Wicky 'Atton's fans'

    yeah, OK bighead.

If the same Hatton that beat Lazcano turns up then Malignaggi will win a comfortable UD or maybe even a late stoppage on pure accumulation. A top form Hatton would beat Malignaggi no doubt but we haven't seen him at his best for a long time.

Before Mayweather came in I was putting a lot of money on Hatton losing this but now I'm not so sure as you never know what can happen when a change in direction like this happens especially someone with the calibre of Mayweather Sr.

A very interesting fight this one.

Hatton fell in love with his hit and hold technique after he beat Tszyu imo.

Granted it worked for him against Tszyu but Tszyu has never been quick of foot and Hatton has underated foot speed. Against Paulie i think he will need to box at mid range instead of the mauling fighter he has become.

But let me say this, Paulie Malignaggi isnt the slickster people make out.

    Ndou hit him alot

    Cotto hit him alot

Paulie has very fast hands but he hasnt the greatest defence.

    Hatton tko 10

Agree with all that bar the prediction, which I think is likely a Hatton points win.

    Yeah that is more realistic.

I originally and deep down still think it will go the full distance.

Im hoping that we will see a Hatton who can fight at a frantic pace for 12 rounds, and he will bully and break Malignaggis heart and force a stoppage. I know Cotto couldnt do it but he isnt as physical as Hatton, and he was skeletal for the fight and not at 100%.

But i agree points seems the safe bet.

Paulies only claim to fame is hanging tough with a seriously weight drained Miguel Angel Cotto.

So a fighter who has only been stopped ny Mayweather in 40-odd fights is going to get stopped by a guy with 5 KO's in his entire career? I really don't see it....
