I dont know if i count getting knocked down as being weak chinned as such. i want to be clear that i didnt watch the fight (wouldnt watch more to the point) but getting knocked down and coming back to win the fight doesnt make you chinny...if anything in my opinion its the opposite was it a good shot he got caught with? i mean its not like the guy kissed him on the cheek and he fell down dead
ok you can hate if you want but you know i dont like choc either... is it possible the Jap has a reasonable crack and landed a good punch. hence why i asked if it was a good shot
It was a good shot and the Jap, if anything, can punch. But he fought his whole career at jnr middle and only recently moved up in weight after getting knocked out by a jnr middleweight. Two things..Choc has shown his chin is not the fine china that everyone thought the Ottke fight showed and of course he isnt going to say, "'I have an ok chin" or say its weak..no boxer would.
i finally saw the KD last night and thought that it was 1 one the slowest and softest left hooks i have seen
i loved his quote after the fight on the KD"all the great fighters get knocked down and get back up to win.mohammed ali did it"ok choc but the calibre of opponent who KD ali was a tad better than crazy kim.
Yeah true. but at first thought I just couldn't help but laugh after reading Mundine saying how he has a great chin. It'd be akin to the Sharks saying they can play rugby league.
let's all remember that choc dropped weight for this fight. it isn't easy going down in weight, especially the first time you do it. However, he did say in his pre fight interview that he was going to focus on having a tight defence. I thought his defence was sloppy for this fight and kim managed to get him off his game plan.
he weighed in about 600grams lighter then his last fight. so i cant see how u can say that is a reason for it
Yeah exactly - he was boasting about how he's never had to diet to make SMW, and that he walks around at pretty much below the SMW limit, and this fight was at catchweight anyway. ****ing excuses :-(
It was a good hard shot to the chin, but you must put into context. Crazy Kim is a Top 25 middleweight at best, he has basically fought out of Japan his whole boxing life.
Agree Kim is top 25......and he only hit mindine with a few flush shots in 10 rounds....Mundine went ok and hit kim with over 50 flush shots....the KD was also a good shot. Mundine wont beat the world on that effort however he looked ok...much better than dibb. Mundine is top 5 and thats about it...but top 5 is a great place to be in the world of boxing and he can earn loads of cash and should be managed into a title shot that he can win.....not against Pavlik or the like but against Sturm of Geale.
