    .

Wow, its amazing how people just are oblivious as to how PED's help an athlete.

.......to be at the level that Pacquiao is right now, you have to be a great fighter to begin with......
.......you dont take an average fighter like Bobby Pacquiao, put him on a PED regimen, and have him conquer division after division....it does'nt work that way.

You dont give PED's to a David Diaz and have him transform into superman.......

I'll use the baseball analogy once again as I did before.
McGuire, Bonds, Clemens.......they were HOF ballplayers even without the PED's.....
.....they all went on a PED regimen and started shattering records that had stood for decades......
.....the average player say with a 250 avg 7HR, does'nt go on a PED regimen and start to shatter records, he will almost certainly improve on what he was, but he's not going to become Ruthian when he was below average to begin with.

That's exactly what I'm saying:?.. So you're saying he had to work hard for PEDS to work?.. That PEDS sucks bigtime

Not only are there many flaws in that long post, but he ignores the fact that nothing will remove the asterisk from Manny's name based on the many incidents that unfolded.... no matter where is might be on any list.

Hes starting to tarnish hes legacy. First Clottey, Margarito, now Mosley, Marg vs Cotto 2, then who ever wins that Pacquiao will fight.

Can someone please explain to me how Manny is an 8 division world champion?

I'm not a hater at all, I'm fan of exciting boxing so of course I like Pacman.

But for me, he's a 6 division world champ....

    1. He won and defended the WBC flyweight championship.
    2. He won and defended the IBF super-bantamweight championship

He beat Barrera and drew with Marquez at Featherweight, but never won a belt?

    3. Notable wins at super-featherweight: Morales, Barrera, Marquez etc.
    4. He beat Diaz at lightweight
    5. Although it was only for the IBO title, he did beat Hatton at Light welter who was the boss of the division at the time.
    6. He beat Cotto at welterweight, albeit at a catchweight, but as has been discussed on here many times, Cotto weighed in only a pound less that his previous weigh-in weight and described himself as feeling good at the weight. He then defended his belt against a world-class journey man.

As for number 7, the Margarito fight. I personally choose not to count it. Margarito had no right to be there, and it was at ridiculous weight. I don't mind catch weights, it's the sanctioning bodies I dislike!! Gangsters.

But anyway, I can see 6, at most 7 titles. Can anyone clear up for me where the 8th comes from?

I've already proven them numbers wrong before, months back.

Pacquaio in 6th place on HoF's beat (assuming they get in) GTFOH

Wheres Mclarnin, Ross, Canzoneri, Ambers? Theres many fighters left of that list in almost every category.

The bottom line is the most of Pac's opponents in the last 10 years had been fighting pro for over a decade. Most of his wins were against old washed up guys who at one time or another were great, but when Pac beat them they were just old washed up guys who were once good or great.

-I think the avg. years for Pac's opponents is around 12 years!
-Also, most of his biggest wins were against fighters who had previously been KTFO or exposed, or lost.

For example, Antonio Margarito had been fighting pro for 16 years, you add that he was recently KTFO buy Shane Mosley, and whose style is taylor made for speedy fighters. Needed to come down in weight.

Joshua Clottey's best days behind him, probably when he beat Corrales years ago, and had been fighting pro 15 years!

Miguel Cotto, KTFO by Margarito, hadn't and hasn't looked the same since. Needed to come down in weight.

Ricky Hatton, KTFO by Mayweather, had been fighting pro fpr 12 years!

Oscar De La Hoya-Shot beyond belief (literally) had been pro for 16 years!! Needed to come down in weight.

Marco Antonio Barrera- Past his physical prime, had been pro for 14 years!!

Erik Morales- Shot, 13 years fighting pro! Needed to come down in weight.

    Just some examples.

SMOKE AND MIRRORS, that is his career. Good fighter, but when you watch his fights and compare them to the true greats, his career is orchestrated and you can CLEARLY see the talent difference between Pac and lets say someone like Duran or Leonard.
