I was laughing reading your post thinking about all the information that you have access to cmpared to your more compatriots in here at your age. I can remember checking every day for a week wanting to slap down 75 pence for a boxing mag! Now the ability to investigate the most arcane story, never mind see actual fight films!!! GTFO!!!! ENJOY IT

In every way possible existence is constantly moving towards a higher plane. Tomorrow is already better than today.

And I can watch any fight in any country at any time for free.

People get too demanding as time goes by. Back in the 50s people were happy with little, now you can give people all the joy in the world and they will still complain. A psychologist can explain it.

Back in the day people had 3 channels and boxing was shown. It was a big thing.

Now any average guy can watch a gorilla fighting a kanguru anytime he wants. It's just so different, and it creates so many different perceptions of how good or bad things really are.

No lie, pre vcr I remember trying to stay awake to watch the Ali vs Marciano computer fight being shown at 2 am on an obscure independent station only to wake up the next morning on the couch.
