I bet on Cotto some v-cash because I had a dream of him annihilating Martinez. The rest is history.

For those who respect a deeper perspective on what unfolded in the ring vs Martinez. Knees, age etc etc all played a role though if you use it as the main factor for Cotto's victory then your as shallow as those that thought he would be crushed by Sergio. Check out this vid

The fans that discredit Cotto's win over Martinez are the same fans that think Pac beat a prime Oscar.

Completely agree. Sergio's fans always overrated him, and when Cotto decisively proved to be the better, stronger boxer with better footwork, they then exaggerated Sergio's decline, so as not to give Cotto the credit of beating him. This despite the fact that Sergio getting nailed with the left hook in the first round and never recovering had nothing to do with his legs. In fact, as the fight went on, Sergio actually moved well enough to win one or two rounds.

Just watch. Sergio will come back and look great in his next fight, and then the Sergiosektuals will tell us he is now "un-shot". It would not surprise me if some of them even tell us he is now ready to school and knockout Cotto with ease, like so many said he would before.

tbh I think Sergio should hang em up . Hes a great fighter that no one wants to see take another beating .

Hes had a decent career and hes well respected .

Not a prime oscar but at least one still capable of fighting and tbh the version of pacman would have still done a number on a better version of Oscar

The version of Martinez cotton faced was beyond shot, his knee injuries took away his stability movement and ability to throw a decent punch

He wasn't just shot he was basically physically incapable of boxing to a decent level. I give cotto credit for taken the fight but not much for the win ,any top 30 middleweight could have beaten that martinez

Same scenario. People thought oscar would brutally stop a superfeather pacquiao who has to move up two divisions.
Do you give credit to cotto for fighting and beating martinez?

Cotto will always be discredited for the win... I've boxed I have bad knees from basketball while many things factor in nothing beats pedigree, boxing ability, skills and correct strategy all displayed by Cotto that night. Some folks will remian in denial creating excuse after excuse. Styles make fights first and foremost Martinez was dynamic and a great athlete so was Carlos Quintana for those that remember him in his prime....Athletes vs Boxers in a boxing match.

Hahaha china. Even before he got tagged he looked awful and had no movement. Fast forward to round 8 and he literally topples over throwing a punch. He had no stability. Freddie roach saw a weakness, as usual, and shamelessly exposed it and then pats himself on the back. Pathetic.
