No **** everyone has a problem hitting PBF clean and their workrate drops off as well. Pac will be no different especially since he's never fought a slick defensive counter puncher before he will be out of his element and will be confused. Add to that he's never fought a guy whose hands are as fast as his or an athlete who's as good as he is and you have the recipe for disaster.

Can only roll so much vs Pac offense. At some point you get hit. And when do you hit when your opponent is constantly bouncing around hitting you? Will be very interesting to see how he handles Pac.

But he's one-dimensional and doesn't have a plan B, lacks a jab and can't cut off a ring. A ring genius like PBF will have a field day with that it gives him so many options on how to counter it. Offense sells tickets but defense wins championships.:deal

He won't shoulder roll. Pac is a southpaw. He'll fight Pac from a high tight guard which his straight right is even more effective from.

so true and check this quote out from freddy roach from an article someone just posted in thread titled Good article on Floyd's image:

Manny Pacquiao trainer Freddie Roach was previously quoted as saying, “Marquez could give Mayweather a lot of trouble. I would have to say Marquez is the smartest fighter today. He’s like a scientist. Mayweather has never faced adversity like Marquez did when he was knocked down three times. He has always picked easy fights. He’s never faced adversity like Marquez.” Yet, as the fight rapidly approached, Roach’s stance on the fight changed, and by the time Floyd was standing at the winner’s press conference, Roach was sending condescending congratulations in an attempt to mock his return effort.

it's not just fans who do this **** to floyd ...people who know the sport of boxing do the same thing!

    Excellent post !!!!
The question is ..Can Manny maintain HIS discipline and gameplan once he takes a couple flush from PBF and he will , see PBF expects to get clipped altho he out to last the rounds and rack up the points ...MAnny will be looking to take him out that WILL be his downfall..and the fact that he threw a 12 punch impressive combo at Cotto and only landed 3 or 4 ..

misses on that scale will not go unpunished...

    Mouthwatering prospect ...

and just to wet the appetite more ..how bout Mayweather v Paul Williams ???

Floyd was not invincible vs Oscar or Hatton as this boxing genius defensive wizard. Had Oscar kept throwing his jab and not gassed, could have been a different outcome. That was all Oscar, Floyd didnt cause him to stop throwing his jab. Pac wont gas and while has no real jab, those punching furries are weird/fast/dangerous and NONSTOP. If Floyd is truly as great as he says he is, then he will find a way to beat him. But at this point, I cant bet against Pac anymore.

Before the Cotto fight I would've given PBF a solid edge. Following the result of the Cotto - Pacquiao I truly believe that PBF - Pacquiao is a 50-50 fight.

How old are you 12? He makes plenty of good points. I'm picking Mayweather as of now, but the OP has alot of valid arguments for Pac.

Floyd is going to pot-shot and clinch. The whole night. He's going to throw the jab, throw the jab, wait for Pacquiao to move forward, throw a hard shot and clinch. The whole night.

I agree. I think Pacman would beat Mayweather. As long as he fights his fight. Quick, powerful combinations, body, head, body, head, in and out and avoids fighting Mayweathers fight. Boring single punches from the outside. Be a little dirty in the early stage of the fight and hurt him to the body to offset Mayweathers concentration. Pacman should be able to handle it.
