Yeah why would we talk about actual boxing, you know actual punches and counters for those punches on a boxing forum?

Excellent freakin analysis & would be shocked if anything other than what you described happens.

Key word for a Pacquiao victory is highlighted.:happy

What a terrible post and analysis. What do you expect from a clown who had Mayweather losing round 3 of Castillo 1. Floyd is gonna fight PAcquiao the same way he fought a 154lb OScar. What a dope.

Why dont you go back and watch fights of how Floyd fights southpaws.

2006 - PAC VS PBF - pbf wins via UD
2010 - PAC vs PBF - pac wins by KO,TKO. I'm not satisfied if pac wins only via UD!

    - Floyd doesn't have the power to hurt Manny
*Floyd may not be a devasting puncher, but he is very accurate and can land sneaky right hands all night vs a southpaw. Besides, there is a big difference between standing in a defensive guard while your opponent punches at you and getting caught off guard with quick counter-puches.

    - Manny will outwork Floyd over the 12 rounds, 100%
*Manny can't hit Floyd if he's moving and pot-shotting. I can even see Manny getting frustrated by Floyd's movement. Manny is a fighter and he wants to engage and get into exchanges. Floyd's too smart for that. Manny will throw a lot more punches, but he won't tee off on Floyd the way he did his last few opponents.

    - His speed will unhinge Mayweather's defensive system
*Maybe. Good point though. Floyd has has a little bit of trouble with southpaws, but he is a very smart fighter and has always adjusted to his opponents and finds a weakness. Pac has flaws and if anybody can find and exploit them, it's Floyd.

    he is a one-punch-at-a-time pot-shot machine at 147
*Maybe so, but he can pot-shot better than anybody else in the game. Besides, those single shots are timed very well and as a fighter, you have to be cautious against a fighter like him because he is so sneaky and clever with great timing, much like Hopkins.
(not comparing the two, but they are both very similar in the fact that they are both clever and have a high ring IQ)

Floyd will be reacting while Manny will be forcing the fight and controlling it.
*Floyd can win a fight while fighting that way, though. Look at Manny's fights with JMM. He backed up and was reactive through the majority of the 24 rounds they fought. Manny can be countered and Floyd is a better counter-puncher than Marquez with better defense.

Honestly, I like Pac-Man, I think he is a beast in human clothing. No doubt about it. However, I would put my money on Floyd.

    That's a well constructed argument.

I don't agree, but its well constructed.

Floyd has a masters patience and a snake like reflexes with the self-preservation of an Englishman in 1941.

He will employ a distance fight ala the first Morales fight without ever getting the streak of macho that crept into Erik's 12th round and lost it to Pac turning Southpaw trying to slug with him.

I think Floyd stinks out a mega hype fight and wins a 116-112 type of decision, he doesn't take risks, he enforces his perfection and Manny is not big enough to take him out of his comfort zone.

I will happily be wrong, the happiest I've ever been to be wrong, but Floyd will win this fight and at times make it look like schooling.

Manny will impress and get support because he will NOT stop trying and ad******g throughout.

Manny will handle the loss with class, Mayweather will demand accolades, Manny will still be ahead of him ATG on achievement.

pac does not charge in, he is on the balls of his feet darting in and out while throwing punches. his jab and lead hooks are very crisp and affective (cotto fight). it is hard to counter pac because of his awkward combination punching. and what pac lacks in effective upper body movement he makes up for in footwork.

mayweather is the complete opposite. he is a minimalist. he does just enough, and that is because he always ad******g. he has no game plan. that can work with him or against him.

    talent wise they seem equal.

First and foremost, I believe many people are underestimating Floyd. He is a stylistic nightmare for Pac. A great boxer will beat a great slugger anytime. Example, Ali and Foreman, Holyfield and Tyson, Michael Spinks and Dwight Qawi. My other issue is, recently Pac has walked through all of his fights without any adversity, however, what will he do if things are not going his way? We dont know. One other concern is him taking too many punches. I was surprised how he looked after the fight, he was beat up in the face. That catches up with with every fighter. Many people are saying because Pac walked through Cottos punches he can do the same with Floyd. Cotto is like most power punchers who have to set their feet to punch, therefore, Pac knew this and kept Cotto off balance and would not let him set to punch. That is not the case with Floyd he can punch backing up, sideways, and out of the clinch. Floyd will move to the right to nulify the left hand and keep his feet out side of Pacs left foot. stays in center ring and boxes he will win. If he starts to go to the ropes and rest rope-a-dope or shoulder roll whatever you call it. It'll probably back fire on the kid. He can counter use that check hook on Pac, lightening right hand down the middle and win but he can't give Manny opportunity on the ropes.Unless he is baiting Pac to lunge in and eh is just waiting to shoot a right down the pipe or check hook which I think he will do.If he is just doing it too prove that Pac can't hit him and just ducking and bending and not countering. It might back fire.although I haven't really seen any one hit Floy clean so it's brilliant defense.

I THINK FLOY WINS BY UD OR TKO..SAD BUT TRUE..

    Pac will knock Void out.

Void refused to fight Pac before the Cotto fight and for good reason.

Void has refused to fight Pac, Cotto, Margarito, Mosely, etc. Styles make fights and Pac is the wrong style for Void. Roach has not been wrong yet. Roach said that Pac will knock Void out and I agree.

"Pacquiao made a believer out of me with Cotto, so I wouldn't count Pacquiao out. I think Pacquiao could do a number on Mayweather because Mayweather's chin is not that good. I think that Pacquiao could very well knock out Mayweather too," --Mosley

Agreed with everything. Todays version of Floyd is not the same as the one that dismantles Chico. He now becomes over cautious and doesnt seem to use that much his other hand in punching.. I admire Floyds defensive mastery but this fight suddenly becomes 50/50 to me.
