    Tyson Fury is, right now.

We'll get the definitive answer when he and AJ box.

Klitcko ain't AJ.... AJ ain't as stiff as people think... he is more adaptable than Klitckho who has a very consistent style... AJ can brawl... AJ can box... AJ can go on the defensive and use range.

Wilder ain't AJ.... AJ is a gold medallist, he knows how to box... he has more than just a right hand... he has excellent hand speed...combinations... varietyy over Wilder

Fury ain't beating AJ the same way he beat Wilder and AJ.

Fury will lose rounds, and he will get hurt continously... not just one punch

AJ put down Klitchko three times... before stopping him.

Fury is the #1 with one belt, but he still has to beat the #2 with all the other belts to be "the man". This is not another Tyson vs Spinks situation though, where virtually everyone outside of boxing saw the multi beltholder as the legit champ.

As it stands, there are more questions regarding AJ than Fury, so let's look at some facts.

    1. Common opponent - Wlad. Fury beat a younger version, did it in his backyard while dealing with all the shenanigans of the ring foam and countless other stunts designed to disrupt. It was a boring fight but a clear win. AJ beat an older version of Wlad, who had been inactive for years, and did so at home. It was a much better, more aggressive, fight but he was much closer to losing than Fury was. 1-0 Fury

    2. Cracks in the code. AJ has a loss on his record against a decent opponent but nothing more than that, and that loss was taken the first time he'd boxed outside the UK. The rematch returned the belts but not the aura. Fury is undefeated and looking more imperious than ever. 2-0 Fury

    3. Stepping up to the plate. Of the established 'big three', AJ has yet to face either of the other two (dispute the reasons if you like, but facts are facts), but Fury has fought Wilder twice and stopped him. 3-0 Fury

    4. Overall record. A clear win for AJ. Povetkin, Whyte, Parker, Ruiz and Takam would all have enhanced Fury's record, while only Wilder and Chisora would do the same for AJ. 3-1 Fury

    5. Styles make fights - exciting. Before fighting Wlad, AJ was a super aggressive power puncher who backed his arsenal to outgun anyone in the opposite corner. After that win he has progressively become more cautious and after the loss to Ruiz, more so. Fury on the other hand seems to be doing the opposite and trading in his awkward rangy style for something more aggressive and eye-catching. But looking at their elite careers in their entirety, AJ has provided more entertainment than Fury. 3-2 Fury, with the caveat they are trending in opposite directions.

So I place Fury one step up from AJ and is my number one. But of course, when they fight and who wins overrides everything else. H2H means more than all other factors put together...
