Except there's nothing about Pac's pressure that was educated.:deal: Since when did Pac work behind a jab? When did he ever cut the ring off? When did Pac fight on the inside and try to go to the body? That is educated pressure. Pac's prime he was a reckless and a flawed fighter who tried to overwhelm people with speed power and angles and no defense, he had no plan B. JMM exposed this years ago and it's why Pac had so much trouble with JMM, who just took little steps with educated footwork and countered the **** out of him. JMM's only problem was the Mexican warrior in him would make him trade with Pac too much instead of just fighting his fight and simply outbox him and he wasn't naturally the athlete like Pac was, PBF didn't have the problem. The type of pressure he brought was uneducated and would have always been neutralized by PBF who would beat Pac to the punch from the outside and moved and countered him to hell and back. You have to have a jab if you want to even think about beating PBF because the jab can disrupt his rhythm and keep him more honest.

Of course Manny has back acne but well conveniently disregard that. Floyd didn’t have back acne though. Wonder what happened there lol

Why? it sort of comes down to two main reasons. The first reason, Pacquiao has a better resume than Floyd does. Second, no other former FW champ has dominated a strong WW champ like Pac did to Cotto.

That's my basic argument without getting deep into it. I have no problem with people disagreeing with me. I'm sure there are arguments to say Floyd is a better p4p fighter than Pac. But my argument for Pac seems fair. Again this is not to say that there is no justification for saying Floyd is a better p4p fighter than Pac.

Doesn't matter he lost H2H and Pac had losses even before he and PBF fought and PBF had none and was equally impressive fighting from 130-154. The Ring ESPN and their peers have spoken. PBF is greater and is the greatest fighter of the era.

The best argument IMO for rating Floyd as a greater p4p fighter than Pac is the following. He has more skills. The people who rate Floyd over Pac think his skills advantage override Pacs superior resume and accomplishments.

Not true. Maybe the only guy arguably more impressive in jumping weight than Pacquiao was Henry Armstrong.

He battered ATG Barney Ross for the WW title WHILE he held the FW belt. Then he lifts the LW belt off another HOFer for good measure.

Homicide Hank then comes within a whisker of winning the MW title which would have made him champ in 4 divisions (126, 135, 147, 160) at the same time...and mind you, this is at a time when boxing only had 8 weight classes total.

Pac’s resume is impressive, no doubt, but let’s not forget the ATG’s that came before him.

Thanks for the post about Armstrong. I suppose if Armstrong had won the MW title his rise up the weights would have been much more similar to Pacquiaos.

Pac didn't just beat Cotto. He pulverized him viciously. We've never seen anything like that. As far as little guys battering a man that much bigger.

That said, I hear that Armstrong has quite a reputation. Beating down an ATG at WW while being the FW champion is incredible stuff.

Pacquiao to me is a better p4p than Mayweather is.
