This is quite an ironic statement coming from a Wilder fan (I am assuming you are a Wilder fan)..

Stivern was never world class his best win is Arreola FFS he won a vacant title, Breazale was already smoked by Joshua before the Wilder fight and his best win is Eric Molina lol hell has he ever beat a top 20 heavyweight, Grandpa Ortiz who's best win is Bryant Jennings and who's punching power magically disappeared after he was popped for steroids. all 3 of them have **** poor resumes Chisora would of been a step up in competition for them. they were hyped up to try to hide the bum of the month club Haymon was feeding Wilder.

I don't get that guy and some others here.

Pov is a career gatekeeper... Parker and Whyte are nothing special
By that standard Fury and AJ are decent fighters
How many ppl here are anywhere near top 10 (or top 100) in the world in any field? Besides making asinine posts on a boxing forum.

Stevern and Ortiz are decent fighters, but I wouldn't call Breazele world class.

The "career gatekeeper" comment jumped out at me. Boxrec has him as the #20 heavy of all time. I am not saying Boxrec is the best or only metric, but it is notable that the only attempt in the world to make an objective, mathematically ranked ratings system has Povetkin ahead of a number or noted ATGs.

Guy has had a stellar career.

He got in the ring with Fury twice, I don't think he is refusing to fight him again, he probably just wants a lot of money to do it.

I agree at the time he was too concerned with what AJ would earn to just take the money offered.

However, look at what has happened with Canelo and DAZN. How guaranteed is the cash. They will probably want him fighting Jon Jones

Yeah maybe, but, there is a fight agreed already, all the splits would have been agreed, so Wilder can't be asking for more money, he is coming off a one sided defeat.

Also, in the first fight Wilder was outboxed, he dropped Fury twice, was not far away from stopping Fury, well, you know what I mean, Fury rising up in the 12th round was rather unbelievable and for at least 7 seconds most thought it was over.

The second fight, different story, Wilder was beaten like a drum, he took a real beating, a mauling, he was bullied and he looked terrified after about 3 rounds, you could see fear in his eyes.

That 2nd fight has stayed with him, he hasn't really been seen since, except a twerking video and some strange insta video with him talking about himself and trying to look mean.

Fury has done a real number on Wilder, I think Wilder will come back, I don't think he will retire right now but I don't think he wants anything to do with Fury again.

Agreed. I want to see him get beat up some more before he calls it a day. The con man caused a lot of damage to boxing and shouldn't be able to get off that easy.

The initial was proposed in 2018 so they could easily have fitted two mega fights in with Joshua and some other contender.

Any offer made pre Covid-19 will never be offered again in my opinion.

I'm a Fury fan and whilst I'm not interested in a 3rd fight because Fury, I've also got the feeling that Wilder may call it a day.

I hope not, but given that he was basically a flat track bully with outrageous power... he got found out against Fury but he can still be involved in some big time exciting fights.

The man carries ridiculous power that makes him a live dog in any fight. Surely he won't want to go out with an L ?

Not top 5? Now your getting carried away.

He's wild but carries a nuclear bomb in that right hand that makes him capable of knocking anyone into next week. He'd chin Parker and I rate Parker.
