Everybody would obviously have different opinions on this as to who should be in it if it ever happened, some would have to get left out as middleweight is just that stacked right now. Here is the six i would choose at this moment in time based on how the boxers are at moment in relation to experience and ability. Taking into account the geographical aspect that was done for the super- middle's to obviously gain interest(i.e 3 europeans and 3 americans north and south) my six would be: Sergio Martinez. Paul Williams. Kelly Pavlik. Felix Sturm. Dmitry Pirog. Gennady Golovkin. I honestly that is a good line up with very competitive matchups. Sorry to the Lemieux fans for his omission but he would lose in my opinion to all six of the above at this stage of his career.

No, an S6 isn't what's needed for MW right now. Why give just relatively unproven Golovkin and Pirog shots like that while Korobov, Lee, Macklin, Chavez Jr, N'Dam Jikam, Lemieux, etc are in similar situations? Wait for a year or so and we'll see how everything pans out.

Because i believe golovkin and pirog are better and more than ready than the boxers you listed. You made a good point though which i didnt consider initially. The picture at middleweight could and probably will be much clearer in a year's time so we can then seperate pretenders from contenders.

That may be true to an extent that Golovkin and Pirog are farther along, but why rush it? Let the younger fighters in the division develop and become better fighters and instead there could be a massive tournament.
