Neither. I would have watched something like Fury / AJ or Fury / Zhang maybe.

But the fight we want is Fury / Usyk and Fury browned his undies on that one.

If Ruiz knocks Fury TF out I will laugh my ass off.

The Fury vs Wilder question has been answered three times now. If Fury puts his hands on Wilder again then the police should get involved since this can't qualify as professional boxing any more.

This should be called battle of butterbeans . Ruiz couldn’t beat ancient Arreola convincingly and can’t reach Ducksons face , that’s why Duckson is taking this fight. Duck is a duck and will always be a duck

Fury vs Ruiz is one of the best stay-busy fights that could have been made while we wait for the undisputed fight against Usyk this winter.

I don’t rate Ruiz’s chances of beating Fury at all, but Ruiz is:
    - A former unified world champion
    - Universally recognised top 10 contender
    - WBC #2 contender (only behind Wilder who has already been KO’d twice by Fury)
    - One of the most known HWs by casuals so will be a massive event that keeps the sport of boxing in the mainstream news cycle
    - Only has 2 losses, both decision losses in world title fights

The only better stay-busy fight that realistically could have been made is Zhang, and arguably Hrgovic, but Ruiz is a good opponent to keep the ring rust off Fury.

A better opponent than Dubois, no doubt.

Trust Fury to dig out a guy that makes a t-rex look long armed.

Wilder finally fluking one with a big punch would be an injustice given that he's lost undeniably twice (one of which to an overweight and somewhat sloppy Fury) and very arguably needed a robbery to get a draw against a very rusty version of Fury.

If Fury is in top shape and form then no version of Ruiz provides much resistance... Then again, if that Fury turns up then neither does Wilder (see the 2nd fight for reference).

OTOH even with physical disadvantages, if Ruiz turns up motivated and in good shape (by his standards) and Fury doesn't, which isn't beyond the realms of possibility... Well, it might not be a classic, but it could be surprisingly uncomfortable and a different kind of challenge to avoiding telegraphed bombs.

Literally everyone has shorter reach than Fury, even 6’7 Wilder, so not sure what your point is.

Ruiz will SHOCK THE WORLD with an easy UD decision. He has very quick hands, and he will use stinging combos that put Fury on his back foot, eventually he'll start literally running from Ruiz. Even in the UK, the judges will be forced to give Ruiz the majority of rounds
based on effective aggression, more landed clean shots, and the fear on Fury's face as he begins to understand he is losing.

That is, unless Fury lands a pitty pay combo and gets a Brit stoppage.

    Isn't this fight already derailed?

Ruiz is going to be defending his name in court against his ex-wife for domestic abuse, **** and gun charges?
Surely that means he cannot travel to the UK while this is being investigated...

I hope we see Ruiz Jr from the first AJ fight. Otherwise Fury will bounce him like a basketball.
