I don't think anyone can demand that Leo comes to Belfast but when you add up a few figures, it actually makes sense for all parties. Lets say an average ticket price is £250 - normal enough average considering seats will go for over £1000. 20,000 in Windsor park x 250 = a gate of 5million pounds. Lets take 1million out for rent of stadium and expenses + 1million for a stacked undercard and you're left with three million pounds between Carl and Leo. (Already significantly more than Vegas pot) Now, lets look at television. Sky could make this a succesful PPV if they want to, especially with a decent undercard. Throw Selby on there to fight the winner. 250,000 buys is around what you'd expect. I doubt it would do any less, this is a top class trilogy with a stacked undercard, sky have a lot to work with. 250,000 x 15 pounds = 3,750,000 pounds. Lets give sky a million and you're left with £2,750,000. I'm sure we could easily round that off at £3,000,000 with sponsorship, revenue taken in on the night etc. That leaves Frampton and Cruz with a pot of at least £6,000,000. It would be more than that with other revenue generated on the night but I'm giving the most basic of figures as an example. £6,000,000 is over 7million dollars. Remember they got less than 2 million dollars between them in the first fight so how could Leo turn it down? They won't get PPV in the states and if they do, it won't do better numbers than the UK and Ireland. The UK is where the money is at nowadays do if Leo wants to get filthy rich, he should seriously consider the fight in Belfast for the best payday he'll ever get.
As said in the OP. If he wants to make big money he needs to go to Belfast. Another fight in America is another 1 million payday. A fight in Belfast could more than triple that with British PPV money. No PPV money in the states.
In belfast if lsc beat carl from ring post to ring post and kill him they would give the fight to carl. Lsc fight him in the usa a netural spot.
That's conjecture my friend. Boxing is a business and fighters want to get paid as much as they can. You've got to have faith in the judges. I don't recall Belfast being a notorious area for bad decisions.
Not if Santa wants to keep his belt it doesn't. A 3rd fight would again be close, home advantage will probably do the trick.
Oh, yeah! No cuts, no blood, no knockdowns. No one was hurt. Would i want to see it again. Oh, yeah.. Let the two heavy handed slappers go at it. For sure why not!
It doesn't make much sense if LSC goes to Belfast, outboxes Frampton, only to be then robbed on points. I can't see LSC knocking Frampton out, so a points win is his most likely route to victory. But I don't know if LSC would get a fair shake in Belfast, so in that regard I don't think it makes sense. A loss to Frampton in the 3rd fight would be a set back, and it would impact LSC future financial earnings. So I think he should take the lesser money to fight in the US - where he will get a fairer go with the judges.
I'll admit to being in the minority of fight fans who doesn't want to see this again. Barring a robbery i only see one outcome, and thats another defeat for Frampton, in fact if the crowd in Belfast get to Frampton and he gets too aggressive, i can see Leo walking him onto something. As things stand everything is equal and Frampton still has options, if he loses to Leo again he has virtually nowhere to go. It would make money and attract a massive crowd, but Frampton isn't PPV material.
