I'm aurprised to read that some people wanna' see a third Salido-Lopez fight. WHY? This wasn't like the Israel Vasquez- Rafael Marquez fights. Juanma had his ass handed to him CONVINCINGLY, twice. he took the type of beatings that will end your career and I think Salido would do the same thing if they fought ten times. This was an exciting fight to be sure, with that 9th rd. being a classic and took the sting outta' that **** that Gamboa pulled last week. It's always sad, hearing a guy explaning how he won or WAS winning a fight that he was clearly getting the dog**** beaten outta' him. I think, unless Lopez learns to tuck his chin in, he's gonna' get stopped a few more times. I also read where a lotta' folks weren't impressed with Mikey Garcia. I agree, he may not be the most exciting guy around, but with 12 kos in his last 13 fights, the guy must be doing something right. He's a very cool, calculating, heavy-handed guy that knows when its time to go for it. His bro/trainer wants him to be more aggressive, and it's funny because when Robert fought, he was the same type of fighter as Mikey. Mikey will have a long career and I don't think he'll have too many wars, either. I would imagine, Floyd loves his style.
As long as he can stay on his feet, he can win fights in Puerto Rico. Look at the ridiculous scores from the judges! He should just stay away from Salido, however, before he gets brain damage, IMHO.
Bc apparantly two of the judges thought he was winning get hit by power shots 2-1 and that the ref got gambling issues even though he saved his life. Lopez wants to end his career early i guess.
sadly this...^ but i agree with the TS, no need for a third fight, we know who won the first two and I don't think it would be any different in the third. it was an exciting fight that was great to watch and at many times seemed it could instantly go either way with either guy winning by KO, so I can see why they (showbox, promoters, fans) would want a third fight. but it isn't necessary by any means. Lopez is gonna shorten his career tremendously by fighting the way he does...
