Sky's slogan is: BELIEVE IN BETTER.

It should be: PAY FOR ADS.

They are a boxing channel. Surely they should be showing the big fights?

thats not the point though. the fact that people already pay sky a whopping £50 to £70 a month u should be entitled to watch any ****ing sporting event you want. if your a boxing fan with sky you can watch all the average fights with your subscription you're already paying but any half decent fight now and they want you to pay another subscription on top of that. its a joke. Imagine if they did this with football, you can watch the Norwich v Stoke and Sunderland v Fulham games with your subscription but if you wana see Arsenal v Chelsea you'l have to give us another 15quid!

Sky would lose a lot of subscribers if they did that though or have to reduce the package cost to retain customers. It would also have a huge and negative effect on new subscribers. People dont subscribe to Sky just for the boxing, a lot do for football.

I dont agree that they are charging PPV for top fights but the truth is we know that boxing isnt their main target audience and is a niche sport, unfortunately one that is expensive to be involved in business wise when setting up cards etc.

Sky have set a budget for boxing with matchroom, any fight that requires more than that allows will be ppv and will continue to do so unless boxing becomes more mainstream...ironic huh
