I suspect Mike was a steroid monster in his prime.

hes a definite legend sure as **** hall of famer&in his day the most intimidating fighter to ever step in the ring,in his prime he would have given any heavyweight in history a hell of a fight&with the exception of ali the most famous boxer in the world.

I'm a big Tyson fan and I have him #4 H2H all time. I think Ali, Big George, and Lennox beat him in his prime.

Just because I don't think he is top 1 or 2 doesn't make me a fan. I also don't think Pernell Whitaker is #1 or #2 at WW H2H, but I'm definitely a fan.

In his prime , Mike has a shot at beating almost everyone in heavyweight history.. but one the odd time his flaws would give way to the odd bad day at the office..

ATG .. of course he is...

    This is absolutely 100% correct.

In his prime, Thomas Hearns also has a shot of beating any WW in history. Marvin Hagler has a shot of beating any MW in history. Hell, Manny Pacqiou has a chance to beat any super featherweight in history. But that doesn't mean that you think they WOULD beat anyone in history.

More maniacal fans need to realize that in hypothetical H2H matchups, picking a hypothetical winner doesn't mean that the hypothetical loser has no chance.

Had Tyson gone on to fight Holyfield Lewis and Bowe and been successful during the early 90's you dont think that would have enhanced his legacy?? Are you a moron? I know you hate Tyson, but geeze...:patsch

    I'll explain.

    1. I believe Holyfield for one would beat Tyson every time. He was able to back him up and bully the bully and he would've done it to any version. It is a mental thing....not physical. Ali would take him apart badly. He had the mental capacity to intimidate him, the chin to take his onslaught ant the offense to **** him up. LL would also beat any version of Tyson. Prime Foreman is a toss-up.

    2. This is just ****ing ******ed to say.

    3. He is very overrated also, so it is pointless to argue this one.

Your entitled to your opinion, but that doesnt necessarily make it right. To say hes "very overated", is a very ignorant statement, especially given his accomplishments as a fighter. The youngest champion ever, the last to unify all three titles separately, his destruction of undefeated fighters. Knocking out guys who had never been down as pros previously. Its amazing you would say that. :huh

So your saying the sloppy Lewis that fought guys like Mercer, Mcall, and Bruno would beat any version of Tyson?:tired Cmon!! The Tyson that fought Holyfield was a much different fighter than the Tyson that fought Spinks, both mentally and physically. Tyson fought with the confidence of a "real" fighter when he was at his best, because he was a full time well conditioned and well trained fighter, not a once a year non interested, poorly prepared fighter. I think that fact is evident given his fluctuating weight and number of trainers he went through during his post prison career.

Tyson H2H is top 5 for sure. Along with Ali, Foreman, Holyfield, and Lewis. Based on accomplishments, title defences, opposition,etc... Tyson should be anywhere from 6-11 alltime.

i seriously doubt that! he was just a ****ing monster,he was the prime example of having the perfect amount of heavy muscle mass but not to the point where it hindered his speed&movement, like i said he was the most physical intimidating fighter to step in the ring,he won most of his fights b4 he even threw a punch.

  14. Didn't they test for Roids back in Tyson's prime??? 87-90??:huh and Tyson wasn't as Physically Intimidating as a prime:-( Foreman:-( **** NO..
Prime Foreman was 6-4 a half foot taller than Tyson more Muscle, and about 25-30 lbs heavier, with more power to boot..

Of the highest degree, and the only HW I classify as such in the history of the sport.
