I wouldnt necessarily say it was VERY difficult...but it is something that some fighters definitely do better than others

Presure fighters with great STAMINA suck ass to fight. There was a local LHW (I was 156)that i used to spar with when getting reay for a fight. While I knew I'd land? He'd keep coming and coming, great stamina and good size/pressure. He' force you to move, spend energy, and be sharp.

Boxing was the hardest sport i ever participated in. No matter what sport you compete in, boxers are amongst the highest conditioned, when done properly.

I have only done a little bit of sparing a few years ago
I learned that it is not only physcialy demanding but all so mentaly demanding.

I've sparred before, and I don't think a lot of people realize how tiring even just 3 minutes can be, even if you're in shape. It takes great conditioning and mental resolve for anyone to go 10 or 12 rounds even in a slower paced fight. The other thing that's happened to me, is that little things occur like jamming your thumb while punching, or having your foot stepped on and losing balance. All kinds of **** happens when you're sparring or fighting, especially against crude and aggressive guys.

    Funny,

I've seen and even sparred with some 35+ guys who are actually in both good mental and physical shape. I'm not sure where you got this impression.

I spar with guys who are in their early 20's still.....so believe me age is just a number. I have seen guys in late 30's totally dominate much younger guys

Short guys prefer fighting tall guys. Tall guys hate fighting short guys. Tall fighters that can actually fight are very rare. Lennox and the K-Bros are rare specimens of both height and ability.

    A) That capfunds is completely full of ****.

    B) Those that have boxed, vs those that have not. It becomes obvious.

I didnt want to throw anything else technical in a thread laced with it.

People have talked about how tiring boxing is, but unless you've done it, you've no idea how heavy 8-ounce gloves become after three minutes.

That a shot in the heart can paralyze ya

The electric shock that goes through your body when you're hit on the forearm by a heavy puncher

The frustration of not being able to let your hands go...or to pull the trigger when the opening's there

How much faster someone is to box then when you watched him

How discouraging it is to hit someone with your best shot and he keeps comin'....or prayin' that he doesn't get up

How exciting it is when a move you've practiced works

How awful it is getting pounded by a fighter, who can't fight a little bit, because you're outta gas

Only learning you have to go six rounds --not four --from the ring announcer

What it's like to see someone all busted up in the bout ahead of you

    E) As for me, I'm Klansmen ****ing wetdream because:
E.1) I'm black (see my avatar)
    E.2) I'm Jewish (weekdays only between 9AM and 5PM)
E.3) I'm also ... roll the drums ... GAY! - yay! (my gratitude to capfunds for pullling me out of the closet :emma)

Disclaimer: the fact that I just face****ed that ring card girl is no indication that I'm straight... :D
