good one. It took a long time for me to get used to keeping my eyes open, breathing properly, and keep my chin down to my chest.

There is training hard and there is tricking yourself into thinking you are training hard.

There is a slightly snobbish attitude where people consider boxing to be tougher than all other sports. It is certainly one which requires a high level in all kinds of fitness.

The 100m is probably tougher though.

Two of the scariest things in boxing:
    1) Pissing blood from being pelted in the kidneys for 10 rounds
    2) Trying to get up after being tagged and realizing that none of your muscles will respond after all those situps, running, sparring sessions and trash talking

This may sound simple , but controlling your breathing is also VERY important which is why I think these guys are mentioning how difficult it is to fight a pressure fighter , because 1. if you haven't boxed you will most likely panic as they are closing in on you and will probally wear yourself out as you are moving away or swinging to keep your opponent away. 2. majority of you will HOLD YOUR BREATH as you are punching from panicking LOL sounds funny , but facts are facts.

I guess one of the first things that your told when you go to a gym and the thing most people are ignorant to is the breathing patterns you use when you box.

Alot of people don't even think about it, they just think guys go in and start wailing away.
