Yes I understand that, and know of several Argentinian boxers myself like Laciar, Coggi & Galingdez(spelling?), but I was meaning even if they did not have others Monzon would redeem the country by himself.

Orisha, I was in Buenos Aires a week ago talking it up with some old time boxing fans.

I asked one of them (old man in his 70s) about Monzon killing his girl, and he said that it was all a big miscommunication, that Monzon was just checking her pulse on the balcony.

People in Argentina are proud of their fighters, and your right, it goes beyond Monzon.

Mentioning Monzon as the sole representative of Argentiniens boxing, is like saying for USA boxing....all you have to say is Ali...come on dude....:patsch

    This is a misscomunication.

Boydsmith is simply saying that Monzon is the essence of boxing in Argentina, or that he is the fighter most associated with boxing from that country.

You are saying that Argentina has a deep pool of great fighters.

Your both right, and need to stop acting like chicks. :yep:smoke
