I have been watching boxing now for 20 years and Saturday night saddened me. We all watched a great fighter Roy Jones Jr lose a 12 round lopsided fight. This was a shell of the fighter I seen years ago. Roy Jones in his prime was arguably the most gifted ATHLETE I had the pleasure of seeing. I hope RJ retires because he has nothing to prove. To all RJ fans enjoy!:happy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UDWnMXzgeZo
That's What I'm Talking About !! How can anybody SERIOUSLY think Calzaghe would even stand a Chance against ROY in his prime !?!?!?!
Well I personally think thats bull****, but to the original poster I agree was sad to see RJJ beaten up like that but everyone knows that he was an exceptionally talented fighter.
It was a bit **** watching him get beaten up like that but RJJ will be always be remembered as a great. I just hope he retires now or perhaps a rematch with Bhop then call it a day.
With all respect to RJJ (and he deserves it) none of those fighters in that video are the same level of Joe C in his prime. Watch Joe C's earlier fights and you see the same stuff.. complete domination of his opponents. I wish they had fought when both in their primes, but honestly the result could have gone either way.
Exactly,, he looked awesome against nobodys and he clown & humilliated them, Why he never fought 'real competition" when he was at his prime?:huh
Seeing RJJ beaten like that was very sad.But still RJJ in his prime was amazing. My fave boxer of all time.
I was sad for sure to see RJJ BUT FOR ****S sake I much have been watching a different fight . Did joe beat him YES did he bet him up bad hell NO. I though untill the cut it was close then Roys on the back foot covering up and joes combos mainly to the gaurd and body Jones . How many clean hurtfull shots did Roy take ?. Come on people a clear victory yes a one sided hurtfull beating I DONT THINK SO.
i hate to tell you but i`ve been watching joe for years and he aint half the fighter he used to be,he has been kd in the first round of his last two fights, prime for prime it would have been a much better fight but too close to call...honestly. and i dont think rjj is as bad as calzaghe made him look he was doing ok for a while,he is still a decent boxer compared to most of lhw.
Going on that performance, we all know that Roy could still beat the rest of the light-heavyweights out there... He was genuinely buzzing for this fight and you could tell...some of the one punch shots he was pulling out were just awesome... I reckon he has a few surprises up his sleeve an in my opinion win another world title!!? :good
