SS could have been the best Mexican fighter ever, he had it all ...a little tribute...this is a You Tube tribute by ABC on August 21 after his death...great tribute...interesting video of the accident and funeral... In Agust this year was 25 years since his death... [YT]YTGq1zz3zVU&[/YT]
What a champion. Won the title then defended it 9 times in 2 1/2 years against fighters of great calibre like Danny Lopez, Ruben Castillo, Juan La Porte, Wilfredo Gomez and a young Azumah Nelson. Could've achieved so much more but we were lucky to see his short but brilliant career while it lasted. I'll always remember an old cartoon I saw of him, he had been drawn with an old nail sticking out of his chin...ie he wasn't get knocked down anytime soon. Cheers Orish, really enjoyed that tribute. RIP.
I believe Salvador was the best counter pucher I ever saw he reamined so calm no matter the situation and was a master in the ring he could do it all and the way he destroyed Gomez was amazing. R.I.P Sanchez.
great find what a fighter and only 23 years of age. really does make me feel sad becuase he was a great talent and even though his heart wasnt in boxing it sad to see the slices of life of a young man die young
Best thing about Sanchez was how much better he seem to get with EVERY fight. Just a fantastic fighter....
One of my favorite bless with a granite chin the best stamina I ever seen a perpetual moving target trowing punches from every angle he fought the best of his era what a fighter.RIP.
counter punching at its finest. and Defensively he was amazing. He had the ring smarts of james toney but way more athletic and way way better movement on his feet, he was just simply sick.
