I posted this on another thread, so please forgive me for double posting.

A head butt will throw the movement of a boxer and his train of thought off by tenths of a second. Within tenths of a second a punch can be thrown that otherwise could have been slipped rather than landed flush. Admittedly it was not an intentional butt but in the infamous words of joel cortez.........RULES ARE RULES. Seemingly this only applies " sometimes."

At the point of the head butt.....( by regulations) the fighter who was head butted should have had time to recover which would negate any over-inflated body shot and/or left hook right hand.

In the heat of battle many things run through your mind , such as " why didn;t the ref see that,,,,," what's going on here" and it all happens in a split second which is enough time to be knocked out.
It's a breech in concentration that can make or break any fighter regardless of how skilled.

Sorry folks, I call foul here and suggest a rematch, based on Joel Cortez AND THE COMMISSIONS POINT OF VIEW.
Further adding to this....if we're going by the rules and if a clearly BEATEN fighter can be awarded championship belt due to a refs poor judgement, then these rules should be applied to every fighter and not just one or two.

This whole feud has been full of twists, turns and controversy.

I'm beginning to wonder if they're capable of having a fight with a clear definitive ending to it.

Holt really put his head through Ricardo's skull, LOL. His head and neck were tensed and rigid for impact.

Why the **** are people crying rivers over this headbutt, it wasn't even intentional he just had forward momentum which is why it went unseen and Torres didnt even complain about it, people should get over it.

That headbutt punch KO happened so fast, I'm wondering whether the ref had any authority to even do anything about it if he had seen it?

    What do you guys think?

.....I know there was a headbutt, but what could a referee have done even if he knew? ....afterall, it was a punch that knocked out Torres!

Tough cookies I say, its just one of those freak things that happens in boxing.

Plus Torres was not warned for the punch he threw at Holt after the 2nd knockdown.

He probably didn't see it and though it was a punch, if he new it was a headbutt I'm sure he would have mentioned it. Not much anyone could have done anyway, things like these happen in boxing.

    '

Which is funny...because Nady got A LOT of heat for when he took a knock down away from MAB and deducted a point for the late hit.

Shows how incompetency finds its way to the same people over and over.

I'm going to invoke the Hatton Mantra here:
