Lennox proved this generation of heavyweights dominated by the Klitschkos is bad.

Klitschkos good fighters but Lennox smashed "The Tougher Brothers" face up when Lennox was 38 y/o and unfit and out of breath.

Vitali was 6 years younger than Lennox

Lennox was 38 and Uninterested and Unfit, still handed Vitalis face to him

If the gloves off Lennox could Seriously Kill Vitali.

Lennox was almost 40 and unfit for his sloppy performance

regardless when someone ****s ur face up that bad u never won the fight.

just like 1 lucky punch at the end of a fight ends it no matter how good you boxed.

I think his point was you make it sound like a one sided ass woopin when at the time of the stoppage it didn't look like Lewis would make it 4 more rounds but yeah he did create some very nasty cuts.

    Yes, he did.

Vitali still gave him a good fight though and put up a respectable effort.

just because you cut someones face dosent mean you "smashed" them, Vitali broke Lewis's nose so what.

a cut from the glove in boxing is more the angle of the punch then the power.

    So what?

It was so bad the fight was stopped.... and Lewis won.

He obviously had the angles and Vitali didn't.

And did Vitali break Lennox's nose? I dont think so. He had a slight nick on it.

Lewis' nose was very badly broken. Lewis was staggered, Vitali was not. Lewis was holding for dear life at the end for the fight. Lewis was finished. Even Max said as much. Angelo Dundee said that Vitali was cheated out of the title that night. Vitali would have knocked Lewis out in the very next round and Lewis knows it. Lewis turned down huge amounts of money for a rematch which he had promised, but refused to fight.

Bull**** did you see Vitali's face at the end of that. He had a massive cut over his eye and probably couldn't see. If the ref let that fight continue and Lennox scored a few more hits which he would have since Vitali couldn't see then the eye would be permanently damaged. Besides cut stopppages are a legitimate win in boxing. The cut was caused by a punch so there's no reason to DQ Lewis. And there is no way any sane ref is going to let the fight continue. Lewis got the win he deserved.

Yes, remember peak Ali Humiliating Larry Holmes

and a peak Holmes schooling Tyson

and a peak Tyson thrashing McBride

Is Vitali at his peak now - he looks a lot slower and would have been well beaten by the younger version of himself that was beaten by a [peak?] Lewis
