No kidding. This guy hits the deck against supermiddles and OLD cruisers, and people think he's gonna do anything other than get knocked the **** out at HW???? :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl Talk about delusional. Haye is a KO waiting to happen at HW.:yep
he got hit right on the button and got stunned and recovered well. mock may not be a knockout artist but he can still hit someone hard and caught haye in the temple. it was also hayes 6th pro fight against a 28 fight veteren. so all in all its no big deal, haye vs wlad will be entertaining however long it lasts. godspeed to both fighters
Looked like Haye's put down by another glancing blow! lol....I can't understand how anyone takes him seriously at HW...the guy is gonna get hurt bad..
yes Haye got hit with a shot to the temple but I always thought having a good or bad chin was based on ability to take punishment well. meaning that yeah I've seen the clip and that punch that knocks Haye down is a head shot .... clearly not one on the chin. so could you say that Haye has not the greatest chin .. in the sense that he doesn't take punishment well?
Temple and chin shots are very different, but this shows that Haye just isn't very durable. That he became undisputed cruiserweight champion and knocked out everyone he beat (his one UD was a farce where Haye acknowledge he set out to go the distance and didn't throw more than one right a round), shows that he must be very good to get where he is today whilst being a vulnerable fighter. However, almost contrary to what I've just said, it's Haye's low hanging left that is more a problem than his chin. He leaves himself so open that he gets hit flush more than he should, which then leads to him hitting the deck more than he should. This is his achilles heel at hw more so than his chin. The Thompson fight was clearly due more to Haye's inexperience and punching himself out than a weak chin. And lots of fighters get hurt at one weight but still manage to go up in weight and do well. Haye has a puncher's chance and speed at hw, which could be enough to make some noise before he does eventually get ko'd.
Did someone just say the whole of the head area is called a chin ? A biology lesson is needed i think .
^ it was in the original Taylor/Pavlik fight contract that if Jermain Taylor lost a clause for an immediate rematch at a weight above 160 why do you think right after Pavlik defeated Taylor for the titles they fought again at 166?
Haye clearly has weak punch resistance. However, his swiss cheese defense and stamina will be bigger problems imo
