You cant end a fight on that punch, it was hard to the nuts, clearly illegal, and several before that were low too it looks like to me, you have to give the fighter time to recover, it was the end of the round and who knows what happens, the fight was very close, all the BS assuming one fighter is done, wishful thinking more like

You'll notice Kov was bent over like a guy who was quitting. How was Ward to supposed to see he was hitting below the belt when the bigger man was crouched at the waist? Accidental imho.

All 3 shots were low. The first shot was low from the replay. The 2nd shot was throw at the same spot. The 3rd shot was clearly low...not even close to borderline. It was way below the elastic band of the shorts.

Kovalev got jobbed. It was an awful stoppage to begin with, but you combine that with a fighter stopping another fighter with 3 low jobs leaves a very bitter taste for this sport.

Doesn't matter how good a fighter is, how defensively sound he is, you can beat him if you land 3 low blows on him a row and get away with it. Weeks did an awful job last night.

I saw that final blow from a different view and it was right on the waistband, kovalev had his shorts high. He was already doubled over and should have been warned for having his head below his waist. Ward broke kovalev down, kovalev had nothing left in the tank and possibly would have quit on his stool in between rounds.
