I was one of the hardest punchers in history for my weight. Kod 65 opponents in 75 wins. Never a champ,I once kod a man who weighed 110
pounds heavier than myself. Who am I ?

    Henry,soon as I saw your name,I knew I was a goner!
Yes Tommy Gomez ,who was being touted as the new Dempsey. At 185 pounds he kod 65 guys in 75 wins. I saw the "new Dempsey" Kod by
Joe Walcott in 3rds MSG in 1946. In 1946 the 185 pound Gomez kod Big Ben Moroz who weighed 295 pounds, and was about 7ft1" or more. Tommy Gomez received the purple heart in WW2. He was wounded SIXTEEN times.:hi:

75-9, 65 ko's - but how come he hardly ever fought the big names?

When he ventured out of Tampa, Fl where he lived and was an idol, he fought Joe Walcott, Gunner Barlund, Lee Oma, Natie Brown, Bob Satterfield. After receiving 16 war wounds, Gomez went downhill... Today he flattens any 185-200 pounder IMO.
