It's been a pretty hectic seven days and here are some of the main talking points coming out of it: http://www.yourmma.tv/news/details.asp/id/1777/a-week-in-mma-gone-in-64-seconds.htm You guys think the way the main event ended was good or bad for the first UFC on Fox? And Fedor vs. Monson? Fedor via decision.
Jeff will want to take this to the ground as fast as he can... the question is can he get the fight there without getting bust up? Even when he gets it there he still needs to sub Fedor... could he be the first? Lynchburg
Fedor doesn't have his fluid very odd transition to the ground he used to. He used to just flow onto the ground against the likes of Nog without getting caught. He is a stoic man, and he claims he doesn't care about the losses or what people think of him. The truth is, you don't get to the level Fedor has without having a ridiculous amount of pride in yourself, he cares. He has even packed on muscle for this fight which is something he hasn't done in years. Wish he'd work his ground game a lot more though.
This is a myth. He caught Nog napping in the first fight. By the second fight Fedor could not live with Nog on the ground, which is why he paniced and head charged him. In the third he did his best to keep the fight standing.
caught him napping? He you don't lay in that guard for 3 rounds like that throwing lead and not get caught unless you are quite fluid. Wouldn't say he panicked in the second, his movement is just a very odd reckless sort. The third fight he did keep it more standup, but by that time was already moving toward a more standup oriented style anyway.
