I suppose Williams might do a little better in a rematch, but if Quintana comes in with a little more wind I think he'll do even better still.

And why the hell would they fight at 154? The stupid belt is at 147, so even if Williams wins he's not the champ and Quintana still is. I have no sympathy for fighters who exploit the modern bull**** of weigh-ins the day before. If it was the morning of the way it used to and should still be, Williams would fight at 154 or 160 or get killed in the ring. If he can't make 147 then he should move up. Period.

I have nothing againts both Williams and Quintana . . . I was just reacting to the other poster who was calling Quintana a ham sandwhich. :D

We must give a little respect to the Quintana . . . he came in prepared and executed his perfect fight plan. :yep

    Quintana would win again.

What Williams has to improve can't be learned in 4 months.

just who do you think out of Floyd, Cotto, Cintron ,mosely, margarito even Zab do you see him beating?? I give the man credit for beating a down side william but thats it, he still would not be favored in the rematch.

Although I was rooting for Quintana in this fight, Paul didn't come in 100% like against Margarito. The workrate of itself is the biggest clue. I think Quintana will have to make adjustments in a rematch and for one not be as wild as he was. He did good, but he could have not expanded so much energy with wild shots and wrestling around. If you notice, he didnt have great success in the inside while holding. He had more success from the outside, timing and countering Paul.
Even though Paul wasn't 100% though, I feel that was a result of him fighting in a weight division he shouldn't be fighting. A guy that big, with that type of frame obviously is not a natural welter. He needs to man up, fight at his proper weight and win with skills and athletic ability rather just by his size advantage.

Williams looked like sh*t because of Quintana's defense, movement, and counterpunching ability ....

all the excuses are hilarious it has nothing to do with him being flat blah blah overtrained blah blah no nada zilch nothing to do with that

He was outclassed deal with it ! He fought the same way against Quintana that he did against Margarito, Sharmba and Matthysse...only difference was Quintana's boxing skills are far superior to those three guys ...

Sharmba had skills but too short too small and in the wrong weight class way past his prime to deal with a middleweight in Paul Williams...

Even with all that against Sharmba he still smashed Paul Williams with some NICE shots LOL

Paul Williams needs to hightail out of 147 lbs not because of weight but because the competition here is too good for him !

out working a flat williams is hardly schooling , but I pretty sure William learned that he has to be 100% prepared mentally and physically at all time no matter who your fighting .

As far as Cotto flexing Floyd rib cage, just remember this Arum and Cotto team kept cotto away from floyd earlier in his career for a reason and it taken Cotto 4 year to elevate his game to get ready for floyd.

Nice ass Avatar by the way .. ***** got ass :good
