dude has a pretty solid resume, he has wins over: zab judah luis collazo devon alexander julio diaz chris algieri carlos molina paulie malignaggi marcos maidana marco antonio barrera(way passed it) he's a lot better now that he's with virgil hunter and i think a win over pacquiao(even though he's passed it) would look good
better resume than berto's. 'sips tea':verysad of all the fighters so called top fighters at 147 i'd say khan has one of the best resumes
Judah was old Collazo was shot, and a recovering alcoholic Alexander should have 5 losses on his record. He lost to Porter and Bradley, and got gifts against Kotelnik and Matthysse. Struggled against ancient Diaz. Struggled against Algieri. What are Molina's best wins. Malignaggi has lost every time he stepped up. Maidana is B level. Barrera was beyond shot. The fact that he struggled against ancient Diaz and Algieri should tell you that Khan is nowhere near elite.
but didn't floyd also fight maidana? i'm not a khan fanboy............. but i look at things objectively, who has a better resume than khan? guerrero? nope, berto? nope, thurman? nope, porter? maybe, brook? he can beat khan but nope, ortiz? nope. bradley? yes
Really? well Khan isn't getting Mayweather, over 2 years of crying, whining, shouting and insulting and he still didn't get it so I think Khan and his fans should forget Mayweather now. If Pacquiao chooses to fight Khan it's not because Khan is elite it's because Pacquiao is making a comeback after defeat and an apparent injury and Khan will be seen as a warm up, same as Algieri for Pacquaio. And now If you beat Brook you are P4P? I personally do not agree with that yet but you might want to tell Khan fans that next time they hammer Brook :good Have to ask are you related to Khan?
Khan has one of the best resumes in the sport: Maidana - Great win over a guy that went on to give the p4p#1 one of his hardest ever fights. The bogeyman of JWW/WW at the time, and the worst possible style match up for Khan. Judah - Had just beaten an undefeated Matthysse, Khan annihilated him in 6. Collazo - Very underrated fighter, nearly just upset Thurman who got very lucky to get that headbutt in early on. Should have wins over Berto, Hatton and KO'd Floyd victim Ortiz in 2. Alexander - A world class operator. Golovkin would kill to have a guy like this on his resume. Malignaggi - Totally dominated Paulie in his backyard like he'd never been dominated before, spectacular win. Paulie went on to become world champ a couple years later Julio Diaz - Bad night for Khan but still a clear and solid win, Julio Diaz was no slouch at WW, arguably beat Shawn Porter Chris Algieri - Another poor outing from Khan but still beat Chris clear who brought an unexpected style to the table. People tend to forget how hyped Provodnikov was before Algeiri beat him. Barrera - Way past prime but still a world class win. Was completely jobbed against a juiced up Peterson. Interesting, who do you think has the better resume, Khan or GGG? :think
GGG has a poorer resume, but not from choice, hopefully he faces Canelo-Cotto winner or Quillin-Jacobs winner after he brutalizes Lemi Khan, before Garcia became his daddy, had a few decent names on his resume, Kotelnik, Judah (old, but nonetheless), Maidana (gotten better with age) since then he's been avoiding guys who can punch and are in their prime
zab judah - Was finished luis collazo - Was finished devon alexander - Good win julio diaz - Was not elite yet still had Khan dancing around the ring chris algieri - Not the greatest fighter and gave Khan some trouble carlos molina - LOL paulie malignaggi - Most overrated fighter marcos maidana - Excellent win marco antonio barrera - When this fight was first announced, I didn't expect it to be the legend, thought someone might have named their child after Barrera and Amir was fighting some kid with a record of 15 wins or something
He's wildly overrated. He makes a lot of amateur mistakes. He leaves himself off-balance and WIDE open when he throws his little combos, and he lunges when he punches.
