A win over whom would add more to Dawson's legacy - Tarver or Diaconu?

Diaconu is the big money fight for Dawson, not Tarver, unless Tarver gives Dawson more than $1,000,000 for fighting him.

Because Diaconu is totally unproven. Same applies to Calzaghe vs. Dawson, as Chad is an established A-fighter but not one we know a whole lot about as a champion just yet.

You seem to believe that legacy applies immediately. Most of the time, it doesn't. Roy Jones gets massive legacy credit for defeating Bernard Hopkins, but certainly no one knew back in 1993 what a big deal that result would prove to be.

Hell, it was on the undercard of Bowe/Ferguson!

If Diaconu goes on to achieve great things, a win over him may mean more for Dawson's legacy than would a win over Tarver. But if AD stumbles in his post-Dawson career, Chad will get little credit for that victory.

Tarver definitely, but Dawson should fight Tarver the right way. He shouldn't drop his WBC belt just to fight Tarver, thats ridiculous. In the meantime Dawson needs a new trainer, someone like Jeff Mayweather or Freddie Roach who can help him on his defense, I hope he doesn't plan on sticking with Mustafa.

Dawson should fight Diaconu then face Tarver for unification.
