Similar posting styles, somewhat similar usernames, Valero avatars... I think I like him better as slug. boxer was a bit of a *****.
Mosley belongs in Fantasy fights with Roberto Duran: http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=308494 Edwin Valero belongs in fantasy fights with Humberto Soto and Michael Katsidis. The difference in class and achievement could hardly be wider between modern lightweight titlists. Could Valero jump up to 147, have a few fights then face a prime Oscar de la Hoya and win? Nothing about beating an old Velazquez suggest Valero would have been anything short of Darryl Tyson'ed by Oscar if he tried that.
Boxing IQ=/=Skill as a whole. Mosley is a very skilled fighter who is lacking in some areas, boxing IQ being one of them.
:good Interestingly, the young Tony Danza was hell bent on boxing and just dabbling in acting for shits and giggles; it was the successful audition for Taxi that led to him switching careers. There is a street in Boston's historic North End named after 50's Tony DeMarco - whose 135/140lb version would have lost to Mosley every time and beaten Valero every time.
Valero gets slaughtered...Mosley has never been dropped or even hurt at 135 and has been a champ as high as 154....Mosley has never lost to a brawler up to this point and in his prime he wouldnt end thread
