According to the German newspaper "BILD" Abraham is planning to go back to middleweight. He still wants to meet Ward next though. " Of course I fight Ward next ....I am still a fair sportsman" he said.
I'm glad he's still planning on fighting Ward, that's the right thing to do. If he can safely make 160, this has to be a good move for him.
Short adventure:yep Guy was always killing himself to make weight at MW. Smart business move though: he'll continue his reign of terror at MW by brutalizing smaller guys.
That's a good decision. SM was maybe not for him. I'm also glad to hear he didn't give up the super six like a coward. Who knows, perhaps he will defeat Ward :yep
Don't believe BILD, they usually spread crap. Wait until the next fight if he really does, I guess he has a contract with Sauerland until the end of the tournament.
He's better off at 168. I think he was going to stop Dirrell, and he was beating Taylor before the KO. A few poor performances shouldn't discourage him. At 160 he was really weight drained and struggled to deal with guys like Gevor, Ayala, and Simon. Even Oral last longer than he should've. Now 160 has guys like Pirog, Golovkin, N'Jikam and Lemieux, Abraham could take a beating from those guys.
i dont think his problem is at this weight, but at this level of opponents. fair play to him for coming in to it(super 6)in the first place though.
He just seems a bit to small to deal with Super Middleweights effectively. Jermaine Taylor wasn't a natural SMW
That's good.. And I 'm really happy to hear him say he's gonna finish the tourney... Thats a true fighter..
